From the Juan Santamaría Airport, take the Pan American Highway (#1) north, towards San Ramón. Approximately 45 minutes from the airport you will exit at the town of San Ramón.
Continue straight through San Ramón to a dead end and turn left. At the next traffic light turn right. The San Ramón Hospital is at this intersection.
Continue on this road out of town and through the scenic hillsides until you reach a payment optional tollbooth at the small town of Bajo Rodríguez (about 45 minutes from San Ramón).
Take the road to the right. This road will take you to the town of Santa Clara. Here, after the two bridges, you will need to take a left at the intersection of the soccer field and continue to La Fortuna (about 40 minutes).
Continue through La Fortuna; pass the square and the church out of town towards the volcano. Approximately 10 minutes from La Fortuna (directly after Hotel Arenal Paraíso) you will see the sign to The Springs Resort and Spa.
Turn right here and follow the signs to the resort.
