With 35 years of experience, including 28 years in Frankfurt, Ollendiek is known for his avant-garde haute couture, showcased from his boutique in the heart of the city. His designs stand out through artistic cuts, high-quality couture fabrics, and exquisite art prints on luxurious silk satin.

Diana Eger returns to Sofitel Frankfurt Opera with ICONS, a six-month portrait exhibition exploring influential German and French personalities through her distinctive artistic lens. The collection celebrates cultural dialogue and the power of portraiture as a bridge between communities.

From 1 October 2025, German artist Diana Eger returns to Sofitel Frankfurt Opera with her new exhibition ICONS, on display for six months. Following her first showcase at the hotel in 2018, Eger now presents an impressive collection of portraits highlighting influential figures from the worlds of art, culture, and fashion.

With her unmistakable artistic signature, Diana Eger moves beyond surface representation to reveal the inner essence and compelling presence of her subjects. By placing German and French personalities in dialogue with one another, she creates captivating visual conversations that explore both contrast and connection—an artistic journey into the depth of Franco-German relations. Her strong ties to Paris and her passion for cultural exchange and diversity are reflected throughout the exhibition. ICONS is more than an art display; it is an invitation to experience portraiture as a bridge between people, cultures, and ideas—right in the heart of Frankfurt.

Sofitel Frankfurt Opera has earned two MICHELIN Keys for the second year in a row, reaffirming its exceptional service and guest experience.

For the second consecutive year, Sofitel Frankfurt Opera has been awarded two MICHELIN Keys. This distinction once again confirms the hotel as one of the best-rated properties in Frankfurt am Main. The classification represents an “exceptional stay” and underlines the Five-Star Superior hotel’s commitment to excellence in a truly remarkable way.

The renowned Michelin Guide introduced this new recommendation system in 2024, revising its hotel selection to evaluate outstanding properties according to a key system similar to its famous restaurant stars, ranging from one to three Keys. The rating considers five criteria: architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, personality and character, value for money, and a significant contribution to the guest experience in a specific environment. Keys are awarded based on anonymous inspections by MICHELIN inspectors, independently of existing labels, star classifications, or predetermined quotas. In Germany, the 2025 selection includes six 3-Key hotels, 34 2-Key hotels, and 90 1-Key hotels.
