Hélène Darroze at The Connaught Awarded a Third Michelin Star
The Michelin stars have aligned at Hélène Darroze at The Connaught. Our whole team is raising their glasses to the news that the restaurant has been honoured with a prestigious third star. After a year that saw the dining room reimagined and our menu reinvented to deliver creative cuisine to doorsteps, this is the icing on the cake – or Armagnac on the Baba.
While Hélène paid tribute to her talented chefs, much-missed guests and “the wonderful and emerging British producers, without whom good cooking would not be possible”, the 2021 Michelin Guide shone a spotlight on the unwavering ethos of the restaurant. Inspectors called out “the focus [that] remains steadfastly on the main ingredients; always of extraordinary quality, be it lobster from Cornwall or grouse from Wales,” and declared the “signature Baba dessert with a choice of Armagnacs aged by her brother Marc is a must.”
It’s a dessert that remains a firm fixture of the Hélène à la Maison experience – bringing beautifully presented courses and sommelier-selected wine pairings to your dining room. Meanwhile, the showstopper dish changes weekly, with Oscietra caviar and black truffle as little (but luxurious) extras.
