Fly to Ifotaka, where you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to camp. Settle into your tent overlooking the Mandrare River before an evening walk through the Forest of Zenavo. This unique experience offers the chance to see diurnal lemurs settling down for the night and nocturnal lemurs emerging after dark. Look for sifakas, sleeping white-foot sportive lemurs, mouse lemurs, chameleons, owls, and other wildlife of the spiny forest.

After breakfast, explore the sacred gallery forest in search of inquisitive ring-tailed lemurs and entertaining Verreaux’s sifaka. Return to camp for lunch and a relaxing afternoon by the pool. Later, walk through the sacred spiny forest, home to ancestral tombs of the Antandroy tribe and an extraordinary array of endemic flora and fauna. A local tracker will introduce you to Antandroy culture and customs before sundowners along the Mandrare River.

Return to camp for breakfast, then visit the local market to meet the fascinating Antandroy tribe. Later, enjoy a sundowner with views of the sunset and moonrise across the baobabs. Local villagers may perform traditional dances, accompanied by singing and music.
