Day 2 Hike to Monte Cesen & Go Prosecco Wine Tasting

After breakfast, you'll transfer to Malga Mariech, an alpine farmhouse that marks the start of today's hike. From here you will hike up to mighty Monte Cesen, a massif of the Venetian Prealps located on the northwestern edge of the province of Treviso. Follow trails to its low peak (5,150') from above the village of Pianezze and take in stunning views. Celebrate your first hike in the Dolomites with wine tasting in a Prosecco cellar! Afterwards, enjoy a gentle drive to Cortina d'Ampezzo. Check into your 5-star hotel before enjoying a dinner at your leisure this evening.

Day 3 Marvel at Tre Cime di Lavaredo & Explore Cortina d’Ampezzo

Rise early for a transfer to Rifugio Auronzo (7,611') and embark on a breathtaking loop hike around Tre Cime di Lavaredo (9,839'), a towering landmark in the heart of the Dolomites. Indulge in local delicacies such as canederli (Tyrolean dumplings) and goulash (a hearty beef soup or stew) at a rifugio along the way. The area also serves as an "open-air museum," with remnants of the First World War such as tunnels, bunkers, and old barracks scattered throughout. Tre Cime holds a significant place in mountaineering history, with the first routes conquered in the 1930s. Afterwards, return to Cortina where you can unwind at the spa or take a leisurely stroll through the charming streets of the town center. Enjoy dinner with the group tonight in a local restaurant.

Day 4 Discover Cinque Torri

After breakfast, take a scenic short transfer to Passo Falzarego for exploration of the Cinque Torri (Five Towers) area. Ascend to Rifugio Scoiattoli (7,398') and marvel at panoramic views of the Pale di San Martino, Civetta, Monti del Sole, and the Marmolada glacier. Hike a wonderful route that circumnavigates Cinque Torri (7,746'), which was also the site of intense WWI battles. The area now hosts the Grande Guerra open-air museum, featuring restored trenches and shelters. Later, transfer to a luxurious 5-star hotel in Alta Badia, just 20 minutes away, for dinner.

Day 5 Follow Trails to the Santa Croce Sanctuary

Today's adventure begins with a hike to the Santa Croce Sanctuary nestled at the foot of the Sasso della Croce (Sass dla Crusc in the local Ladin dialect). After transferring to the picturesque village of La Val, traverse through the verdant Armentara meadows until you arrive at the serene 15-century Santa Croce Sanctuary (6,709'), a significant pilgrimage site with stunning mountain views. In the afternoon, continue your journey through woodlands and pastures as you descend back to town. Enjoy a delightful dinner at a local restaurant followed by an overnight stay at the same hotel.

Day 6 Hike or Ride the Cable Car to Pralongia High Plateau

Begin your morning journey by reaching the pristine Pralongia High Plateau, which is surrounded by towering peaks, including the majestic Marmolada (10,964'), known as the Queen of the Dolomites and boasting the region's largest remaining glacier. Ascend the plateau via a cable car and marvel at panoramic views before savoring at hearty lunch at one of the rustic rifugios. Enjoy a final afternoon hike with your group and guide and descend the plateau on foot. Toast your Dolomites adventure with a farewell dinner before retiring to your luxurious 5-star accommodations for a final night.
