Active Elements, Epic Scenery, Off the Beaten Path Fly to Bwindi for a once-in-a-lifetime mountain gorilla trek, with scenic flights, expert guides and seamless lodge stays.
Trip Overview:
Uganda reveals itself slowly on this four-day gorilla trekking adventure through Entebbe and the mist-laced hills of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Your journey begins on the shores of Lake Victoria in Entebbe, where warm equatorial air and rustling palms signal the start of something remarkable.
A light aircraft carries you west to Kihihi, skimming above patchwork fields and rolling highlands before a scenic drive into Bwindi. Villages dot the roadside and the mountains rise in layers of green, hinting at the ancient rainforest ahead. Optional guided nature walks or a Batwa cultural experience offer insight into the forest’s original guardians and the rhythms of rural Uganda.
The highlight is an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Accompanied by expert trackers, you hike through dense foliage and along steep forest trails in search of endangered mountain gorillas. When you finally stand just metres away, watching a silverback survey his family or a young gorilla tumble through the undergrowth, the world narrows to a quiet, humbling moment. With more than 90 per cent tracking success, Uganda safaris here offer one of Africa’s most profound wildlife encounters.
Return to Entebbe with the forest still vivid in your mind, carrying stories of rare primates, emerald landscapes, and a journey that feels both intimate and extraordinary.

The journey, through dense foliage and up steep climbs, is abundantly rewarded with the lifetime experience of viewing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. You will have an opportunity to be within meters of these magnificent apes, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities. Also, mountain gorillas are wild animals and, as such, sightings cannot be guaranteed. However viewing success rates are over 90%.
