Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Bergen

Transfer: Bergen Airportto Bergen

Hotel: Radisson Blu Royal Bergen (4 Star Rating)

By the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bryggen Wharf, 961 feet from the fish market, you can find Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Bergen.


Torgallmenningen Square is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. The Floibanen Funicular is just 780 feet away and the Airport Shuttle Bus stops right in front of the hotel.




Day 2: Half Day Private Bergen City Walking Tour

A 3-hour walking tour of Bergen covers key historical and cultural landmarks, offering a comprehensive view of the city’s charm.

It usually begins with a visit to Bryggen Wharf, the UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its colourful wooden buildings. Here, you'll explore the narrow wooden alleyways behind Bryggen, getting a deeper sense of the city's history and architecture.

Next, you will stop at Bergenhus Fortress, where you'll learn about Hakon's Hall, a royal residence from the 13th century, and the Rosenkrantz Tower, both representing Bergen's medieval and military history.

After that, you will continue your way to Bergen Fish Market, where you may even get a chance to taste some local seafood while learning about the city's maritime significance.

St. Mary's Church is typically featured, it is Bergen's oldest building dating to the 12th century. The tour often includes a walk around its exterior, where the guide explains its Romanesque architecture and importance during the Hanseatic period.

Continuing the tour, you will pass through Torgallmenningen, the central square, where you'll hear about modern-day Bergen and its urban development. This vibrant part of the city showcases a mix of shops, cafes, and the heart of Bergen's social life.

Day 3: Full Day Norway In a Nutshell

Starting your Basic Tour from Bergen, you will travel by rail up the Raundal Valley to the remote Myrdal station.

You change to the Flam Railway, the Steepest line in Northern Europe, and descend to the village of Flam, passing by Kjosfossen on the way.

You then take a Fast RIB boat on a Fjord Safari through the World Heritage areas of Aurlandsfjord and Naeroyfjord to the town to Gudvangen.

From Gudvangen you will drive through spectacular Naeroyfjord and hair-pins of Stalheims road, back to Voss.

From Voss you will depart to Bergen.

Day 4: Depart from Bergen

Transfer: Bergen to Bergen Airport
