Day 1 Perth to Ningaloo Reef (via Learmonth)
Fly from Perth to Learmonth where you will be transferred to Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef.
Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef is an exclusive safari camp hidden in the white sand dunes of Western Australia's Cape Range National Park, an hour's drive (70 kms/44 miles) south of Exmouth. Nine spacious wilderness tents are just meters from the water's edge and the world's greatest fringing coastal coral reef. Sal Salis accommodation and hosting style exudes 'Wild Bush Luxury' and Sal Salis guides deliver an extraordinary insight to one of Australia's best kept natural secrets - Ningaloo Reef.
In keeping with a philosophy of 'Wild Bush Luxury', the focus of your stay is the wilderness around you and its marine and land inhabitants; your accommodation is designed to expose you to the sights and sounds outside your tent. While an exclusive bush experience does not need to be 5 star in the traditional sense, there are a few key comforts that are crucial: a supremely comfortable bed, 100% cotton linen, a choice of pillows, soft bathtowels, an en suite bathroom, delicious food and great hosting.
The main camp building is raised above the sand and coastal scrub with views out to the reef and breakers beyond. Dinner is hosted against a back-drop of rich sunsets over the Indian Ocean and in the cool of the evening kangaroos and wallaroos appear from the bush for their evening graze.

Day 2 Activities at Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef
The World Heritage Area of the Ningaloo Coast provides one of Australias great marine experiences, whilst the limestone backdrop of the Cape Range hides deep gorges of spectacular beauty. The wildlife and spectacular location tell the story of this wonderful spot at Ningaloo Reef. The goal of Sal Salis is to provide interpretation to bring the experience alive and the soft touches that make for a magical experience. The coral reef is literally on the doorstep and the guides are passionate and knowledgeable people who love showing you their backyard, which is home to over 500 species of fish, 250 species of coral and 600 species of mollusc. Ningaloo is known as one of the best places on earth to see and swim with whale sharks and manta rays. It is also a major breeding area for hawksbill, green and loggerhead turtles which are seen daily in front of the camp.
The Cape Range National Park allows excellent wildlife and birdlife viewing as you tour it at a leisurely pace. Red kangaroos, wallaroos, rock wallabies and Goulds goannas are regularly sighted along with many of the 100 bird species that exist in this area. For the seasoned birders fairy wrens, zebra finches, honeyeaters, reef herons and ospreys can all be found either in or close to the camp. In addition there are over 80 species of reptiles and over 30 species of wildflowers within the park that generally bloom towards the end of winter, including the bird flower and the desert sturt pea.
Expert guides are on hand to deliver authentic wilderness experiences. These include helping guests spot elusive birds or animals, gaining a greater understanding of the geology of the area or learning about the ecology of the fauna and flora and how it exists in such an arid environment. The aim is to inspire and provoke through the activities delivered and to increase awareness of the dangers that may impact on this wildly beautiful and pristine place.
