OFFER ID 1641875
Your Private Guide with accompany you on your visit to London's historical Borough Market at the foot of London Bridge; meet the market traders and sample their incredible range of produce from Britain and the rest of the world - every item has a story to tell! This market has resided at this location since 1756 and is run by a charitable trust on behalf of the community. Forever evolving, from its original wholesale market a few decades ago serving greengrocers of south London, it now acts as a beacon for sustainable food production, short supply chains and social connection, its atmosphere drawing visitors from far and wide. A short stroll along the River Thames, approximately 200 yards, you will find a number of public houses. The ones we recommend are The George Inn - south of London Bridge (Southwark) the only galleried coaching inn left in London and The Anchor (Bankside), on the river side, so if the weather is nice you can eat outside and sample some traditional ales with the view of St Paul's Cathedral the other side of the river.
