Day 1: Welcome to Santiago, Chile
On arrival at the airport, you'll be warmly greeted and escorted to Le Reve, our intimate and elegant boutique hotel ideally situated in one of the city's finest neighborhoods. This afternoon, our engaging native-born guide will show you the sites, culture and vibrant life of the capital. Your exploration begins with a walking tour through the historic city center, home to fine Colonial-era landmarks including La Moneda Palace and the historic Plaza de Armas. Continue through charming and peaceful city neighborhoods like Merced and Lastarria, and enjoy a guided stroll through Parque Forestal, a delightful urban oasis along the banks of the Mapocho River. Take a break in one of the nearby cafes and finish your sightseeing atop San Cristobal Hill, famous for its sweeping views of the city set against a spectacular mountain backdrop. Day 2: Valparaiso
Today's full day excursion reveals lovely Valparaiso, an historic port and university town nestled between the mountains and sea. Setting out after breakfast, head to the coast. Encompassing both the historic Old Town and newer areas of Valparaiso, your tour includes Plaza de la Victoria with its lovely Neptune Fountain and the bustling harborside wharves. Highlighting the morning is a guided visit through La Sebastiana, the remarkable former residence of Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda. Set on a hill with wonderful views of the city and sea, this landmark is now a museum that offers rich insight into Neruda's life and work. Head to the Casablanca Valley to visit the family-run winery, Casa del Bosque. The region is well known for its premium wines due to its highly favorable growing conditions, and your visit reveals the history and production of the estate's excellent vintages. The regions is perhaps best known for its award-winning Malbec, a Bordeaux variety introduced to Argentina from France in the mid-19th century; other esteemed regional reds include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Tempranillo. For white-wine enthusiasts, Argentina is best-known for its floral Torrontés, but also produces Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio. Day 8: The Argentine Capital
The capital of Argentina presents a rich mosaic of cultures. You'll encounter Spanish, Italian, German and French influences nearly everywhere you turn - in the architecture, the cuisine and the joie de vivre of its residents. This morning, you'll join our native-born guide for a sightseeing tour beginning in Plaza de Mayo - the historic heart of the city and still a popular gathering spot for local residents. At one end, you'll see the impressive façade of the Casa Rosada, where Juan Peron and Maria Eva Duarte famously delivered their speeches from the central balcony. You'll continue through the vibrant district of San Telmo, known for its many antique shops, and explore La Boca, the historic waterfront district where the Tango was born. You'll also visit Zanjon de Granados; dating back to the 1700's and discovered in 1986, this unusual subterranean network of tunnels and cisterns offers a fascinating look into urban life centuries ago. Before returning to your luxury hotel, you'll also visit the Recoleta Cemetery. Among the many impressive statues and marble mausoleums marking the tombs of past presidents, military heroes and other notable Argentine figures, you'll find the much-visited final resting place of Evita. Rojo Tango is one of Buenos Aires’ premier tango shows, taking guests through the last century of tango with stunning modern interpretations of traditional moves. In the intimate cabaret of the Faena Hotel + Universe, three couples take the stage to begin the show at the turn of the 20th century, with dancers in deshabille of corsets and fishnets. Throughout the show, each couple is featured several times in solo performances, and the group also dances together. A male and female singer intersperse the dancing with powerful singing of traditional tango standards, while a live band adds to the atmosphere.

Explore some of the most recognizable landmarks in Buenos Aires. Find out about the history and culture of this city, as you take in some of the most significant spots. Start at the most important square in the country: Plaza de Mayo. The country was founded here in 1580, and today the most important governmental buildings are located here including Casa Rosada (Government House), Cabildo (City Hall) and Catedral Metropolitana (Metropolitan Cathedral). Continue through the cobblestoned streets of San Telmo neighbourhood, where the original porteños (Buenos Aires residents) settled in the early days. The next stop is picturesque La Boca, home to Caminito, perhaps the city's most photographed street thanks to its corrugated iron and brightly coloured houses. This block houses one of the few outdoor museums in the world, where artists exhibit work, related to the influence of mainly Italian immigrants who arrived at this port at the end of the 19th century. La Boca is home to the legendary football (soccer giants) Boca Juniors, whose colours of blue and yellow adorn most of the houses and stores in this neighbourhood. Drive towards Palermo, passing through Puerto Madero, a regenerated area where redbrick warehouses have been transformed into trendy restaurants and bars.
Once in the northern area of the city, drive past Palermo Chico with its impressive townhouses, tree-lined boulevards, and parks. Palermo Soho, on the other hand, combines the flavour of an old, working-class neighbourhood with some contemporary details, including ethnic restaurants, design stores and bars. The bohemian atmosphere makes it popular with Argentines as well as foreign visitors, and restaurants cater to all palates. Continue to Recoleta, one of the most elegant and sophisticated districts, visit Nuestra Señora del Pilar Church and Recoleta Cemetery, known for its rich architecture and famous personalities whose mortal remains it treasures.
