Featured Destinations
Bryce Canyon National Park
At Bryce Canyon National Park, erosion has shaped colorful Claron limestones, sandstones, and mudstones into thousands of spires, fins, pinnacles, and mazes. Collectively called "hoodoos," these colorful and whimsical formations stand in horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters along the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau in Southern Utah.
Alpine, WY
Denver
Denver is not only the perfect gateway to the Rocky Mountains and the American West - it is also a major tourism destination, filled with world-class attractions, excellent accommodations, over 2,000 restaurants and the finest shopping in the region. Just a few of its new projects include: Coors Field, Prehistoric Journey, and Six Flags, just to name a few. Nighttime entertainment includes: music and dance clubs with music ranging from smooth sounding jazz to lively disco, comedy clubs, concerts, theater, opera, symphony and movies. Even with all there is to do, virtually no one comes to Denver without visiting the Colorado Ocean Journey.
Kayenta
Kayenta, in northeastern Navajo County, is about 20 miles south of the Utah border on US 163. It is 148 miles north-northeast of Flagstaff and 99 miles west of Shiprock, New Mexico. Because of its remoteness, in the early days the Kayenta region was seldom visited by non-Indians. In 1874, Mormon emigrants travelled through on their way from Tuba City to Aneth. In 1910, a trading post opened at Kayenta; In 1914, the March Pass School opened; and in 1916, another trading post opened. Since that time, especially with road paving through the area, Kayenta has had considerably more traffic and has been designated a 'growth center' of the reservation. Navajos refer to Kayenta as Tohdenasshai.
Grand Canyon National Park
Located entirely in northern Arizona, the park encompasses 277 miles of the Colorado River and adjacent uplands. One of the most spectacular examples of erosion anywhere in the world, Grand Canyon is unmatched in the incomparable vistas it offers to visitors on the rim. Grand Canyon National Park is a World Heritage Site.
Cody
Cody, Wyoming is known as the "Rodeo Capital of the World." Enjoy an authentic rodeo when visiting, or some of the many other historic experiences of the old west, such as a visit to the Buffalo Bill Historic Center. Within the park, you’ll discover a world of adventure!

Favorite outdoor activities include hiking 7,242-foot Harney Peak, mountain biking, horseback riding, rock climbing, fishing, chuckwagon suppers and jeep rides to see the bison.

The park boasts scenic drives such as the Needles Highway (SD 87), which twists and turns its way past towering rock formations and through narrow tunnels. At the end of one tunnel stands the Needles Eye, a granite spire with a slit only 3 to 4 feet wide but reaching 30 to 40 feet in the air.

History and culture also abound. Walk the banks of French Creek, where Custer’s expedition first discovered gold in 1874. Take in a theater performance at the Black Hills Playhouse. Or, visit the log cabin that was home to Badger Clark, South Dakota’s first poet laureate.
