DAY 1 Manaus, Brazil

Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel.

Begin your wild adventure in the Anavilhanas Archipelagoof the Brazilian Amazon, a refuge of diverse species such asriver otter, giant armadillo, piranha, manatee, black caiman,pink river dolphin and spider monkey. After lunch at yoursecluded lodge, hike out to explore the mainland forestand learn the secrets of jungle survival. Return to the lodgeby canoe, taking in a revealing new vantage of the river.

This morning, explore the river by wooden canoe, keepingyour eyes peeled for pink river dolphin and other exoticdenizens. After lunch at the lodge, set out for some hands-ontarget practice with traditional hunting implements. Returnto the lodge for dinner. After nightfall, venture into thewilderness in search of nocturnal species.

Today, set out on a riverine safari of Rio Negro, an Amazontributary, encountering new species as they hunt along theriverbanks.

Rise before the sun and head to the islands to watch arainbow of colorful, exotic birds dart against the lush canopyand dawn-painted Amazon sky. After breakfast at the lodge,transfer to the airport for your flight to Campo Grande.Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel.

This morning, resume your wild adventure as you transferto your lodge secluded in the heart of the Pantanal, a vastwetland harboring giant river otters, caimans, capybaras andthe elusive jaguar. Close your day with a Scenic Sundownerbefore dinner.

Set out on a guided exploration of the Pantanal on foot,scanning the canopy life. Later, delve deeper into thewilderness on a 4x4 game drive and a riverine sunset safariby canoe. After nightfall, search for nocturnal species: ocelot,anteater and jaguar.

Join Onçafari’s Jaguar Conservation Team for a once-in-a-lifetimeopportunity to monitor this critical species in thefield. Learn the team’s tricks of the trade as you homein on jaguar, checking camera traps and searching fortracks, getting a firsthand feel for this project supported by Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy. After nightfall, find aprime location to lie in wait as the nocturnal wetlands comealive and these elusive predators begin to stalk the Pantanal.

Fly to Iguazu Falls and transfer to your hotel, just a shortwalk from the cascades. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Today, discover the Argentine side of the falls by train, takingin spectacular views of the falls as well as the tropical flora andfauna. In the afternoon, proceed to a catwalk above the lushbasin called the Devil’s Gorge. For dinner, head to a local homefor a regionally inspired Chef ’s Table experience.

After breakfast, explore the Brazilian side of the falls,venturing out on a catwalk for a parting glimpse of therumbling cataracts. Transfer to the airport for your flighthome.
