The White Tower was completed first and dominated the skyline, serving as a fortress-stronghold right up until the 19th century. Today, the Tower is a World Heritage Site, comprised of several buildings that are set in two concentric rings of defensive walls and a moat.

Jack the Ripper Walking Tour:Walk the trail left in 1888 by Jack the Ripper, the famous serial killer who made Whitechapel his hunting grounds.
