Day 1 San Jose
After you collect your luggage and clear customs you will be met outside the terminal by our local representative who will be holding a sign with your name on it. You will be transferred by van to Arenal, a scenic 3.5 hour drive from San Jose. The road winds through the picturesque little towns of Alajuela province and through rolling green hills of pasture land and coffee plantations. After going through the small town of Fortuna, you will anxiously await your first glimpse of the perfectly cone-shaped Arenal Volcano, which on a clear day is an unforgettable sight. Located at the foot of the volcano is beautiful Arenal Lake, a 24-mile long reservoir. Your transfer will end at your selected Arenal hotel. Overnight.

Day 2 Arenal
Kayak the Arenal Lake! This experience will give you the opportunity to paddle across the mystical and calm waters of the Arenal Lake while the beauty and energy of the amazing volcano penetrates your soul.

Day 3 Arenal
Early morning departure (7:30-8:15 am) for a day on the Sarapiqui River (minimum age: 8 years). Set in the lowlands of the rainforest, the river passes through lush jungle, rich in flora and fauna. It has enough rapids to make the trip interesting, and flat pools between the rapids for swimming and splashing around. Return to your Arenal hotel. Overnight.

Day 4 Arenal
Today's adventure is not only a canopy tour but an opportunity to observe wildlife in its natural habitat. Each platform has been designed to give the best views of the forest from different angles. The canopy consists of 15 cables and 18 platforms divided into three sections, plus the Tarzan swing. Return to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 5 Arenal, Manuel Antonio
After breakfast (between 8:00-9:30 am) transfer by van from Arenal to Manuel Antonio. Overnight.

Day 6 Manuel Antonio
Another canopy tour awaits you! The Canopy Safari Tour is pure adrenaline! Experience the rainforest canopy through a course of 10 zip-lines, 18 platforms, 2 rappel lines, a suspension bridge, and a Tarzan swing. Additional attractions are a butterfly garden and snake exhibit. Overnight.

Day 7 Manuel Antonio
Today you will have the Manuel Antonio National Park Tour with a naturalist guide. During this 2.5 hour walk, you will learn about the history, flora and fauna of the park. You can stay after the tour to enjoy the white sand beaches.

Day 8 Manuel Antonio
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to San Jose and continue to your next Avanti destination.
