Day 1: Auckland; Arrive Auckland
Upon arrival at Auckland Airport, enjoy a private transfer to your hotel. Settle into The Hotel Britomart, ideally located in the heart of the city near the waterfront, restaurants, and shopping precincts.
Day 2: Auckland; Auckland Food & Wine Experience
Discover Auckland’s vibrant culinary scene on the Taste of Auckland tour, featuring local specialties and a vineyard lunch at one of the surrounding wine regions. Spend the morning exploring Auckland city on a small group tour and then in the afternoon enjoy a wine tour which includes a vineyard lunch, tastings at 3 locations and a visit to the dramatic scenery of Auckland’s west coast
Day 3: Auckland; Waiheke Island Gourmet Experience
Travel by ferry to Waiheke Island for a gourmet food and wine tour. Enjoy tastings at boutique wineries, local artisan food experiences, and a platter lunch while taking in stunning island scenery. Your day begins with a visit to a boutique vineyard for a guided wine tasting, complemented by gourmet tastes such as Te Matuku Bay oysters and local Waiheke honey. Continue to the award-winning Allpress Estate for an informative olive oil tasting and an introduction to the island’s renowned olive oil production. At the second vineyard, enjoy a wine and food pairing, followed by a relaxed, family-style lunch showcasing seasonal flavors in a beautiful vineyard setting. The final stop is at The Heke, where you can taste a range of their products including local beer, gin, whisky and a liqueur.
Day 4: Rotorua; Auckland to Rotorua via Hobbiton
Travel south through the lush Waikato countryside toward Hobbiton, with commentary from your guide along the way about the region and the making of the films. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of the iconic movie set, including hobbit holes, the Mill, Party Tree, and Green Dragon Inn. A highlight is the opportunity to step inside a Hobbit home and experience incredible detail firsthand. Enjoy a complimentary drink at the Green Dragon before a buffet lunch in the Party Marquee. After lunch, receive a souvenir voucher before continuing to Rotorua, arriving mid-afternoon.,This evening experience Te Pa Tu featuring a Maori cultural performance and a 3-course seasonal fusion feast. Day 5: Rotorua; Rotorua Cultural & Forest Experiences
Today is free to explore Rotorua at your leisure, before collecting your rental vehicle. This evening, soar 25 metres above the forest floor on an exhilarating adventure through the magnificent Redwoods Forest. Traverse a series of 25 suspended jungle-style bridges and platforms along a 650-metre canopy loop, all while securely connected to a continuous safety system and guided by experienced professionals.,Along the way, discover fascinating stories of the forest’s history, native wildlife, unique flora, and Maori legends, creating an unforgettable blend of adventure, nature, and culture.
Day 6: Hawkes Bay; Hawke’s Bay
After a leisurely morning, travel from Rotorua to Napier. Journey across the rugged Kaingaroa Plains and through the charming rural towns of Hawke’s Bay before descending into the sun-soaked wine region of Napier, renowned for its vineyards, Art Deco architecture, and coastal beauty.
Day 7: Hawkes Bay; Napier Art Deco & Wine Touring
Explore Napier’s fascinating Art Deco heritage on a guided walking tour before indulging in a Hawke’s Bay Food & Wine Lovers experience featuring regional wines and gourmet produce.,Visit world-class wineries and sample gourmet delights from seasonal artisan producers of figs, strawberries, honey, coffee, gin or craft beers.
Day 8: Martinborough; Napier to Wairarapa
Travel south through scenic countryside to the Wairarapa wine region. Journey south from Napier through the scenic landscapes of Hawke’s Bay and the rolling countryside of the lower North Island en route to Martinborough. Along the way, enjoy sweeping rural vistas, charming small towns, and rugged hill country before arriving in one of New Zealand’s premier boutique wine regions, renowned for its acclaimed Pinot Noir and relaxed village atmosphere.
Day 9: Wellington; Wairarapa to Wellington
After spending time in Martinborough, travel over the scenic Remutaka Ranges toward New Zealand’s vibrant capital city, Wellington. The journey offers beautiful countryside views before descending toward the dramatic harbour setting of Wellington, renowned for its creative culture, lively waterfront, acclaimed dining scene, and charming cafés.
Day 10: Wellington; Kapiti Coast Culinary Experience
Enjoy a 7-hour from Wellington capturing the best Foodie Delights the Kapiti Coast has to offer. Take in the majestic vista of the Kapiti Coast from the top of Paekakariki Hill and then embark on our journey to experience a wide variety of Foodie Delights - Coffee, Olive Oil, Liqueurs & Spirits, Chocolates and Gelato.
Day 11: Wellington; Depart Wellington
