In the late afternoon, visit the historic Citadel and conclude discovering Jordanian hospitality at Beit Sitti, a family-run cooking school in Amman. Day 3: Amman to Petra via Mount Nebo & MadabaSet off on a scenic drive to the legendary city of Petra, beginning with a visit to Mount Nebo, where sweeping views over the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea invite reflection and awe. Continue to Madaba, the Mosaic City, renowned for its stunning ancient artworks that tell stories of the past. Pause for a delicious traditional Jordanian lunch, experiencing authentic flavours prepared with care. As you continue to make your way to Petra, stop at the Bani Hamida Women’s Workshop to meet local artisans and explore their handmade products, supporting the community while gaining insight into Jordanian culture, before arriving at the awe-inspiring Rose City.
This evening, enjoy a delicious dinner with a local family in Wadi Musa. Here you will delight in traditional Jordanian cuisine and learn about the customs of everyday Jordanians from your gracious hosts before returning to your hotel in Petra for the evening.

Day 4: PetraAfter breakfast, embark on a journey into the legendary city of Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its stunning rock-cut architecture and ingenious water system. Often called the Rose City for the warm hues of its sandstone cliffs, Petra was once the thriving capital of the Nabateans and remains a symbol of Jordan’s rich heritage. Introduced to the Western world in 1812 by Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt, it was famously described as "a rose-red city half as old as time."
Enter Petra through the dramatic Siq, a narrow, winding gorge carved by natural forces, which opens to reveal the awe-inspiring Al Khazneh, or the Treasury. Beyond it lies a vast theatre, carved into the hillside and tombs, offering a striking perspective of the city. Wander among hundreds of intricate rock-cut tombs, temples, obelisks, sacrificial altars, and colonnaded streets, before climbing 800 steps to the monumental Ad-Deir Monastery overlooking the valley.
Return to your hotel for a restful pause, then at 8:30 PM experience the magical Petra by Night (operating Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays), walking through the Siq along candlelit paths and listening to the haunting melodies of Bedouin music at the illuminated Treasury.

Continue to Shobak Castle, a striking Crusader fortress perched high on a hill, where sweeping views across the desert landscape reveal the strategic importance of this historic stronghold. Next, pause to connect with local culture at the Disi Women’s Cooperative for lunch before continuing your journey to Wadi Rum. Closer to Sundown, head out on your sunset jeep safari in the desert.
