DAY 1 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Arrive in Kuala Lumpur, where you are met and transferred to your luxurious hotel.
Start your exploration of the city from an incredible vantage point: the skybridge of the soaring Petronas Twin Towers. Next, discover another facet of Malaysia’s cultural mix with a visit to the Islamic Arts Museum. Peruse the city’s Central Market, where local artists and craftsman sell their goods. After a dim sum lunch at a local restaurant, enjoy the afternoon at leisure. This evening, gather for a welcome dinner.

Privately cruise the Malacca River to visit St. Paul’s Church, the Sultanate Palace, Stadthuys (city hall) and Old Town. After lunch at a local restaurant, return to Kuala Lumpur.
Today, venture outside Kuala Lumpur to the lush Malaysian countryside. Begin with a visit to the Orang Asli Museum to learn about this indigenous people who were the peninsula’s original inhabitants. Then, continue on into the mountains to the Cameron Highlands and your colonial bungalow-inspired resort hotel, where you enjoy dinner.
Enjoy a 4x4 ride through the verdant cloud forests, where you have the option to go on a short hike. Continue to Boh Tea Plantation, where you try your hand at picking tea leaves, observe the artful work of processing tea and sip a freshly brewed cup yourself. Then, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. This afternoon, relax at your hotel, savoring a traditional high tea.
Descend from the highlands and visit a temple, hewn into a cave at the foot of a limestone pinnacle. After stopping for lunch, continue overland to the island of Penang, checking in to your hotel on arrival. Later, enjoy a refreshing Scenic Sundowner while taking in panoramic views of the city.
Begin your day with a lively rickshaw ride through UNESCO-listed colonial Georgetown, a multicultural enclave. Visit Pinang Peranakan Mansion, a museum devoted to preserving the culture of the Peranakans. Then, proceed to the Cheong Fatt Sze Mansion (the Blue Mansion) to take in its distinctive architectural features. After lunch, enjoy a lesson from a master in the game of mahjong on an A&K-exclusive experience.
Experience the natural splendors of Tropical Spice Garden, a rainforest home to hundreds of species. Take a break from exploring for a Malay cooking class, helping a local chef concoct the dishes you enjoy for lunch on a Chef ’s Table experience. Visit Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve, home to soaring tropical trees and over 100 species of birds, taking a funicular to the summit.
Fly to Singapore, an island state at the tip of the Malay Peninsula, where you check in to your legendary hotel. This afternoon, see spectacular Gardens by the Bay, observing the resident flora and fauna and experiencing the futuristic Supertree Observatory.

Good Morning, Ni Hao (Walking Tour)
Penang, or more properly Pulau Pinang, is the northern gateway to Malaysia
and also the country’s oldest British settlement. To the tourist industry, Penang
has been marketed for a long time as the Pearl of the Orient. Although Penang is best known for its beaches, there is much more here than just sand and sea. The island is considered a cultural and architectural gem with Chinese, Malay and Indian influences. Other sights include St. George’s Church - built in 1818 of classic Georgian architecture; Penang Hill - a 2,500-foot hill with a splendid view over Georgetown; Botanical Gardens - the 74-acre landscaped gardens featuring many indigenous and exotic plant species, a waterfall, jungle-clad hills and two species of monkeys, the macaque and dusky leaf monkeys; Golf Courses - The Bukit Jambul Golf & Country Club is located on Penang Island, and other golf courses in Province Wellesley on the mainland are the Penang Golf Resort and Bukit Jawi Golf Resort.
