Day 1: Arrive in Antananarivo
Upon arrival in Antananarivo, Madagascar's capital city, you will be met by a tour representative holding a sign with your name on - and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Hotel: Hotel Palissandre and Spa (4 Star Rating)
This relaxed hotel is 2 km from the Rova of Antananarivo, a 17th-century palace complex, and 3 km from Tsimbazaza Zoo. The colourful rooms provide Wi-Fi, satellite TV and minibars; some have terraces. Family rooms add safes and room service, and upgrades feature flat-screens. Day 2: Antananarivo to AndasibeThe journey begins with a drive east to Andasibe through the lush landscapes of eastern Madagascar. Along the route, Merina villages are visible among the rocky highlands, while forests, lakes, and fertile vegetation characterize the region. Upon arrival in Andasibe, the remainder of the day is at leisure.
In the evening, a guided night walk offers opportunities to observe nocturnal wildlife, including active lemurs and other forest-dwelling species.

Mantadia Lodge opened March 10, 2018. It is located on a Hill 100 meters high allowing him to enjoy a panoramic view of the forest. The hotel offers 25 rooms including 10 Twins and 1 family suite for 5 people. All rooms offer the comfort of a 3 star with Wi-Fi, cable TV, panoramic views with private terrace, indoor lounge and a wood stove for the cool season. Day 3: Andasibe National ParkA morning visit to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park provides opportunities to observe the indri, Madagascar's largest lemur species, along with endemic birds, chameleons, orchids, and other unique flora and fauna.
In the afternoon, a visit to the V.O.I.M.M.A Community Reserve introduces local conservation initiatives focused on rainforest protection and reforestation. Wildlife sightings may include brown lemurs, indri, geckos, chameleons, and a variety of bird species.

Day 4: Andasibe to AntananarivoThe morning features a visit to Lemur Island, a small sanctuary where several lemur species can be observed in a natural environment.
Following the visit, the journey returns to Antananarivo for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Antananarivo to AntsirabeTravel south through Madagascar's central highlands, passing rice terraces, agricultural communities, and the distinctive erosion formations known as lavaka. A stop is made in Ambatolampy, a regional centre known for aluminium recycling.
Arrival in Antsirabe is scheduled for the late afternoon. Founded by Norwegian missionaries in the 19th century, the city is known for its temperate climate, colonial influences, and agricultural production.

Day 6: Antsirabe to RanomafanaThe route continues south via Ambositra, widely regarded as Madagascar's centre for wood carving and traditional craftsmanship. The surrounding highlands feature rice fields, pine forests, eucalyptus groves, and mountain scenery.
Arrival is in Ranomafana National Park, one of Madagascar's most important rainforest reserves.

Day 8: Ranomafana to Sahambavy to AmbalavaoAfter breakfast, travel to Sahambavy for a visit to one of Madagascar's renowned tea plantations and tea factories. The journey then continues south to Ambalavao.
Subject to scheduling, there may be an opportunity to visit the region's famous zebu market.

Day 10: Isalo National ParkA full day is devoted to exploring Isalo National Park on foot. Hiking trails traverse eroded sandstone formations, palm-lined streams, and distinctive rock formations shaped by centuries of erosion.
The park's diverse vegetation includes endemic aloe species, Pachypodium plants, and numerous bird and wildlife species. Panoramic viewpoints offer impressive vistas across the Isalo Massif.

Day 11: Isalo to IfatyTravel toward the southwest coast with a stop at Zombitse-Vohibasia National Park near Sakaraha. This protected area lies within a transitional ecological zone between dry deciduous forest and spiny desert habitats and supports numerous endemic species.
The park is particularly noted for its birdlife and the rare Zombitse sportive lemur.
Arrival in Ifaty is scheduled later in the day.

Day 12: IfatyA leisure day is spent along the coast at Ifaty. Optional activities may include snorkelling, diving, whale watching (seasonal), or visits to the Reniala Forest, home to baobabs, reptiles, geckos, and endemic chameleon species.
The region also provides insight into the traditional lifestyle of the Vezo fishing communities that inhabit Madagascar's southwest coast.

Day 13: Ifaty to Tulear to AntananarivoAn early morning transfer is provided to Tulear Airport for the flight to Antananarivo.
Upon arrival, the remainder of the day is at leisure. Opportunities may include independent exploration of the capital's historic upper town, colonial architecture, markets, and cultural landmarks.
