1 Arrive Venice, Italy

Renowned for its jagged, snowcapped peaks, northeastern Italy’s Dolomites Mountain range is adored by mountaineers, culture-seekers and nature lovers alike. The region’s culture blends Italian and Austrian influences, a mix perhaps best reflected in its distinctive wines and cheeses. After touching down in Venice, settle in at your hotel in Cortina d’Ampezzo, an iconic resort town known as the “Queen of the Dolomites.”

2 The Dolomites – E-Bike Mountain Ride

Join your cycling guide for an e-bike ride along the Cortina-to-Calalzo path, a spectacular cycle trail that traces the route of a former railway across scenic bridges and winding mountain passes. Your e-bike does the work on the steeper climbs, allowing you to focus on the amazing views. Reach Malga Federa, a mountain farm with sweeping valley views. Then, hike onward to Lake Federa for more dramatic Dolomite panoramas. Hop back on your e-bike for the descent to Campo, a Ladin village with a unique Rhaeto-Romance language.

Then head to Rifugio Scoiattoli for a spectacular lunch set high on the slopes overlooking the Cinque Torri. Afterward, explore the open-air Museum of the Great War. Set at the foot of the Marmolada glacier, the museum commemorates the site of the war’s little-known high-altitude battles.

Head to a traditional dairy farm just outside Cortina to see how fresh goat’s milk is lovingly transformed into the world’s finest ricotta.
