Selene

Giorgos Hatzigiannakis and his Selene Restaurant are names connected, as nobody else, with the re-discovery and promotion of the culinary treasures of Santorini. From his new home, Giorgos Hatzigiannakis is continuing the work of a lifetime, adding colors on the canvas of fine dining and support the evolution of the modern Greek tastes. Bursting with heritage, this former monastery that houses Selene Restaurant in the heart of Fira town, takes on new life with emerald hues and rose-colored accents, set against an alluring backdrop of black and cream. The landmark restaurant and pioneer of Santorini’s cuisine plays off this history-filled space to offer guests a revelatory dining experience, where past and future become one.

Selene Antique Wine Caves

A different wine tasting experience in Santorini. The antique caves of Selene, is a special establishment, exporting wine even to Vatican for ages. Thematic wine tastings, curated by Yannis Karakasis MW, one of the 395 only Masters of Wine© of the World, set to explore Santorini's wine culture. Experienced sommeliers will unveil the secrets of the volcanic terroir and local vine varieties. You will compare and explore the style of various producers, locally but also internationally.
