263 serene rooms, many with terraces, boast views of the surrounding landscape. Each is furnished with mid-century European inspired pieces, from curvaceous settees and wings chairs to geometric wall sconces. Proper beds, positioned to maximize the views, are dressed in crisp Italian linens, hypo-allergenic pillows and blankets custom designed for the space. Baths feature walk-in travertine showers, marble vanities, and Aesop bath products. Anything less just wouldn’t be Proper.
