Luxury Suites at Malewane Lodge

Each suite accommodates two guests and features a private wooden deck, rim-flow pool and a thatched outdoor sala. The main room contains a fireplace, beautiful dark wooden furniture and a canopied kingsize bed. The Luxury Suites are 165m2 (1,780ft2) including the private deck and plunge pool. Four of the six suites have four-poster, king size beds, whilst the remaining two suites can be made into twin beds.

Royal Suites at Malewane Lodge

Each Royal Suite accommodates up to four guests in two spacious en-suite bedrooms, positioned on either side of the central living and dining area. One bedroom features a four-poster, king-size bed, while the second bedroom has a king-size bed that can be converted into twin beds.

The Royal Suites are 510 m² (5,490 ft²), including the private deck and plunge pool. Royal Suites offer private services, including a private chef, host, and a private safari vehicle with a Guide and Tracker. Children of all ages are welcome in the Royal Suites.

Africa House at Royal Malewane

Step into the central courtyard of Africa House and discover a unique world where elegance and quirkiness combine to create a private bushveld paradise. The generous spaces, fearless use of colour, and quiet, relaxing corners for reading, writing, or daydreaming combine with the exotic furniture and artworks to suggest that here, anything is possible. Slip into the infinity pool on the main deck for the ultimate vantage point over the river below, and watch as wildlife comes to drink, entirely unperturbed by your presence.

The furniture, fittings, and artworks in Africa House are the result of Liz Biden’s extensive travels and reflect her unique eye for detail and magpie-like imagination. The watchwords are colour and comfort, and the result is a thrilling, tactile blend of the faraway and the contemporary.

Africa House has a total floorspace of 1,448 m² (15,583 ft²) and features six suites, each with private outdoor showers opening onto a private deck. The villa includes four luxury double suites, each with king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms, along with two king luxury suites (which can convert to twin), also with en-suite bathrooms. Children of all ages are welcome at Africa House, which is a two-minute drive from Malewane Lodge.

Africa House also features private services, including a private chef, host, and private safari vehicle with a Guide and Tracker.

Luxury Farm Suite at Farmstead

The Luxury Farm Suites are either side of a central lodge area where you can enjoy your meals in an elegant and comfortable space. After dinner, relax around the firepit and reflect on the day’s adventures. There is also a double spa treatment room offering a variety of revitalising treatments as well as a gym.

Each Luxury Farm Suite has a spacious bedroom and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower, as well as an outdoor shower. There are large front and back verandahs, plus a beautiful deck and a private pool overlooking the bush where inquisitive wildlife might pay a visit.

Each Luxury Farm Suite is 182m² (1,960f²) including front and back verandahs and deck. Children over 10 years old are welcome in the Luxury Farm Suites. 

Farmhouse at Royal Malewane

Farmhouse is a four-bedroom private villa, ideal for families or a group of friends. Guests will have their own private safari vehicle, with a dedicated Guide and Tracker, ensuring a personalized luxury experience.

There are three main bedrooms, each 54 m² (581 ft²) in size, as well as a slightly smaller room, perfect for children, which measures 31 m² (330 ft²). There is a magnificent deck with a large swimming pool extending out into the bush, bringing the total area of Farmhouse to 636 m² (6,845 ft²). Children of all ages are welcome.

Farmhouse includes private services: a private chef, host, and private safari vehicle with a Guide and Tracker.

Luxury Suites at Waterside

Waterside has four One-Bedroom Luxury Suites. The extravagant size of these suites makes space the ultimate indulgence. Each measures 155 m² (1,668 ft²) and includes a private deck, outdoor sala, and plunge pool. Inside, there’s a spacious en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bath and both indoor and outdoor showers. Rooms can be configured with either twin or king-size beds.

Children of all ages are welcome in the Luxury Suites if a private vehicle is booked, subject to availability.

Baobab Suite at Waterside

The Baobab Suite spans 280 m² (3,014 ft²), including a private deck and plunge pool. Designed to feel like the comforts of home merging seamlessly with the rustic wilderness beyond your private deck, this suite is perfect for families or groups seeking both luxury and a sense of place.

Children of all ages are welcome in the Baobab Suite.

Waterside House at Royal Malewane

Accommodation at Waterside House is spacious and elegant, featuring vibrant, natural furnishings. Each of the four light and airy en-suite bedrooms includes a private deck. Antique furniture, plush silk furnishings, and Persian rugs create an exotic and luxurious atmosphere.

This spacious four-suite private villa truly captures the tranquility of the bush, offering families and friends a space to unwind in harmony with nature. Waterside House measures 300 m² (3,229 ft²), including all rooms, private decks, outdoor sala, and plunge pool. All suites have direct access to Waterside’s reception, dining areas, library, family games room, spa, fitness center, and yoga room.

Children of all ages are welcome in Waterside House. The villa features private services, including a private chef, host, and a private safari vehicle with a Guide and Tracker.

Luxury Tented Suite at Masiya's Camp

Masiya’s Camp comprises six uniquely designed canvas-draped suites, each offering a private and tranquil retreat. Each Luxury Tented Suite measures 100 m² (1,076 ft²), expanding to 230 m² (2,476 ft²) when including outdoor spaces.

The guest communal area features open-plan lounge and dining spaces designed for relaxation and connection with nature. Large floor-to-ceiling glass panels open wide to bring the outside in, creating a fully immersive bush experience.

Children over 10 years old are welcome in the Luxury Tented Suites.

Game Viewing

Game drives form the basic rhythm of the day on safari. You'll find – like us – that to be out in the fresh air as the sun rises and sets is to be realigned with a pattern of deep and ancient significance. On a game drive, your senses sharpen and your excitement grows as you draw close to some of the planet's most remarkable animals, including the species in the Big 5, which are the most anticipated and exciting animals to get close to. You can track your favourite animal or stop to investigate birds, flowers, or trees that you love most. You will engage with the landscape even more intimately, and draw from the knowledge of our award-winning guiding team.
