Regent - Istanbul, Greece & more
August
Pros: Food, laundry service, excursions
Cons: Regent flight travel agency, Gastric disease on ship (pro, excessively cleaned it)
Recommended: Yes
Overall, wonderful trip. Food & services were great. Very knowledgeable tour guides, including making sure we didn't have to wait too long for anything. Loved that it was all inclusive, no nickel & diming once underway! Would definitely recommend it. That being said, Regent really needs to work on their flights; most guests (me included) complained about multiple hops. Although minimal, Regent really shouldn't charge to move to a better itinerary, since they don't get approval before booking.

July
Pros: The staff was always pleasant and did so much for us, with a smile. The food was very good.
Cons: The shower was too small. The deck was too small. The bath tub is wasted space.
Recommended: Yes
Regent completely failed on their transportation from the airport to the ship. We waited over two and a half hours at the airport, for a car to come and get us. After three phone calls, a person showed up. Told us to sit and wait and someone would come to transport us. Regent is not available by phone for help, or questions if it is after 5:00, and sometimes weekends. We arrived at the May Fair in London and the end of our cruise. We were told there would be a Regent associate at the hotel there was not. We had to call and reassure ourselves that we would have transportation to the airport the next day. No representative from Regent ever showed up, or contacted us at the hotel. The May Fair Hotel location is great. However, the room was a disappointment. No amenities, very low uncomfortable bed, The shower leaked onto the floor, no hair dryer. The view from our room was a piece of broken plywood.

Mostly great
August
Pros: Itinerary was great; on-board lecture series and entertainment were great. Cabin was great.
Cons: Itinerary was changed and we missed an entire country. Tenders to most ports were a delaying factor every morning. Some of the excursions were closed to us and some of them were a waste of time.
Recommended: Yes
Ship is showing its age, but the cabin was very comfortable. Crew and staff were very accommodating. Food was solid. Travel arrangements were great. Excursions were uneven and some guides were good and others useless. No boxes to hear on excursions so guides had to yell.

Iceland trip
July
Pros: Our flight and hotel accommodations were superb.
Cons: Unfortunately on our flight back to USA we sat in the back rows of business class and had 4 screaming kids all 9 plus hours. Even the head phones didn’t help the chaos!
Recommended: Yes
Our trip was fabulous. The ship’s staff was very good. Our only disappointment was a ship’s staff worker at front desk was very rude to Ned. His name was Juan. The hurry up and wait on off shore tours can be annoying. One guide never showed up and half of our schooner trip was cancelled and sent back to ship. Also on a walking tour in Christiansand our guide was extremely slow and talked about inane things that didn’t apply to our tour. Finally around 9 of us took off on our own. Our butler and maid were wonderful along with the dining staff. All in all, a great trip.

Voyager 30th Anniversary Sailing - British Isles, Greenland & Iceland
July
Pros: The officers/staff, cuisine and venues, entertainment, the feeling of "coming home again!"
Cons: Weather - Fog......but who can control that?
Recommended: No
While not one of the newer ships in the fleet, the Seven Seas Voyager still presents a luxury cruise experience. The officers and crew were some of the best I have sailed with. The cuisine and dining venues were excellent and I love the ability to experience the specialty restaurant luncheon cuisine in Compass rose every day. Even while Covid is still an issue, we found the sanitation protocols to be thoughtful and effective.....and we felt quite safe on the ship. The entertainment on this sailing was some of the best I've experienced in a while...a variety of pianist, comedian/magicians, an opera quartet, Beatles tribute band and the normal ship troupe. No complaints at all on this cruise....one of our favorites and great itinerary!

The service and all of the crew were truly outstanding in meeting our every need or request. The food in Compas Rose was always outstanding. We only ate in Prime 7 one time, and it was very good. Chartreuse was disappoining. The rack of lamb was looked like two small lamb chops with long boned. Our friends and people sitting at an adjacent table had the same very odd rack of lamb. On my next visit to Chartreuse I ordered the lobster, and was served what looked like a deep friend chunk of lobster meat- very disappointing. Others on ship I spoke to shared in my negative view of Chartreuse. The pre cruise first day site seeing tour was too much time on a bus, no toilet stops, and a totally disappoining experience such that we and many others did not go on the next day's site seeing tour.

Regent Seven Seas Voyager Athens to Rome
October
Pros: This itinerary spent 3 days in Israel over Rosh Hashana- a wonderful experience!
Cons: "Included" internet was painfully slow.
Recommended: Yes
The ship was beautiful, but the best part was the staff. They were amazing. The service level exceeded all our expectations. Of course, it's hard to go wrong when everything is included - a great value! The included excursions were wonderful. The groups were not too large and the included excursions went to all the "must see" sights in every destination. We started in Athens, stopped in Rhodes, Cyprus, 3 days in Israel, Crete, Malta, Sicily, Naples, and ended in Civitavecchia.

Regent Voyager Venice to Rome
July
Pros: All the standard pluses: good size cabin with balcony, good food options, plus major renovation within last year or so, and if showed. Compass Rose dining room update is fantastic.
Cons: Food very good, but seldom great. Not clear why not great, should be.
Recommended: Yes
We started in Venice with pre-cruise stay. Stayed at Kempinski San Clemente Palace. Off the charts! Former monastery on its own island in the lagoon. First class in all respects. We’ve cruised 3 times with Regent in the past. Have never seen so many families with children. Normally cruise Sept - Oct when schools in session may explain. Also, in the past nightly musical programs were always well attended. Not so this cruise. Hard to understand. Felt badly for the performers who were very good.

Pros: Enjoyed the cruise. Really loved the size of the room and the walk in closet
Cons: Some times the service at dinner was a little slow so we missed the entertainment
Recommended: Yes
Some of the paid tours did not live up to the added cost when you compare the value to the free excursions. Did mention the specific tour to the representative. Did not attend any shows as we dined too late. Also spent most of our time off the ship touring vs activity on the ship. Did play bingo.

The best of Bordeaux and Spain on Regent
October
Pros: Unusual itinerary, permitting visits to the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela
Cons: Weather was not conducive to outdoor activities on the ship
Recommended: Yes
The trip was wonderful, as Regent trips always are. The staff is attentive, the amenities are all there and everything works (except the laundromat, part of the time), and the excursions are mostly included. We took two special extra-charge trips, one to Santiago and one to Bordeaux, but our on-board credits covered the costs, as well as paying for items from the gift shop and a massage. The entertainment was good, the spa and gym activities rather less than one finds on a larger ship. People as always are interesting and the lecturer covered very interesting and pertinent topics. We look forward to another Regent trip in the future.

London to Barceleona on the Voyager
October
Pros: onboard service; dining experience
Cons: hardward a bit "dated", but ship went into dry dock for refurbishment the day we got off
Recommended: No
The cruise offered a wonderful and unique itinerary that started with a relaxing day at sea, and included an overnight in Bordeaux, France; a visit to Bilbao and La Coruna, Spain; stops in Oporto and Lisbon, Portugal; sailing through the Straight of Gilbraltar; a visit to Cadiz (and Seville), Spain and another relaxing day at sea before arriving in Barcelona. The service aboard the Voyager was exceptional as always, and the food was equally wonderful. The entertainment on board was full of talented singers and dancers and was well received by all guests. We were blessed with great weather every day except one (rain for 1/2 day in Cadiz). The casino was pretty empty for most of the cruise, and the bars shut down most nights before midnight. The food and the service in the alternative dining venues was exceptional, but if you didn't make advance reservations, it was difficult to get in at the last minute.

Regent Voyager August 2016
August
Pros: All inclusive, all beautiful, all attentive staff, all veranda, loved it!
Cons: none, it will be refurbed shortly (But didn't need too much attention)
Recommended: No
The Regent Voyager was our home for 12 nights in August 2016. We boarded in Southampton and sailed to Stockholm. We stopped in Bruges, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Riga, Tallinn, St. Petersburg, Helsinki and disembarked in Stockholm. The ports were amazing! My new favorites are Amsterdam and Tallinn. We had a group of 65 guests and from the agents feed back before I sailed I knew I was going to have a great group. We had celebrated several birthdays 2 major anniversaries, and we had a small unofficial renewal of vows while in St Petersburg during a special evening! The staff was great, the food was incredible, and the ship was in great shape, although it will be re furbished shortly, I didn't really see much wear and tear. So once she is out of dry dock in October she will be the belle of the ball! Overall I have enjoyed Regent Seven Seas cruises for my past 3 and I am a big fan! I love the included excursions, tips and cocktails. We always tip regardless , but the fact the no one is expecting it makes for a smooth and easy trip. Regent really is the most inclusive luxury experience out there!

Cons: The ship is beginning to look a little worn, but will be refurbished in the fall.

The Voyager is a wonderful ship. With 700 people it is a good size with enough activities and entertainment, and still not too large. The Smithsonian speaker onboard gave excellent talks prior to each port. Cabins are large with large walk in closets. I was in an aft cabin and had a lot of vibration at night. I was told all aft cabins, regardless of deck have this vibration problem.

Baltic Cruise - Northern Inspirations
August
Pros: Great itinerary with over eight UNESCO World Heritage sites included in the shore excursions. All tour guides were excellent.
Cons: Port intense itinerary. Some folks may find the schedule a little too busy with not a lot of sea days/quiet time.
Recommended: No
Ports of call included Stockholm Sweden, Helsinki Finland, St. Petersburg Russia, Tallinn Estonia, Riga Latvia , Copenhagen Denmark, Amsterdam Netherlands, Bruges Belgium ending in London which we added extra days on as well as in Stockholm at the beginning. Russia, Sweden, Denmark & London are on their own currency but it is easy to use euros or U.S. Dollars. Except for London which requires the British pound or credit card with chip technology. The free shore excursions included with Regent were plentiful and diverse. There always seems to be a hidden gem port of call. This one happened to be Riga Latvia. We took a picturesque excursion to Turaida and Sigulda, the castles were outside of Riga in the countryside with beautiful gardens including a giant sculpture garden. We also had a stop at Gutmana cave. After the tour we spent some time on our own in old town a UNESCO World Heritage site. Strolling through the maze of cobblestone streets flanked by historic buildings, soaring church steeples, cafes and boutiques. We enjoyed Regent's Voyager very much. The suites were the best laid out suites we have encounter. Very large walk in closet off the hallway. Bathroom was large with separate bath tub and shower. Vanity area plus another mirrored area in the hallway giving extra space for storage. Good sitting area and balcony. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was always helpful and friendly. Regent makes sure every guest gets a least one dinner in both restaurants. If they have space you can get in other evenings. The maitre d' worked to satisfy requests for reservations when there were cancellations. The ship layout was good but we missed having a lounge overlooking the back of the ship outside and enjoy dining outside in La Veranda restaurant. The weather was incredibly good with sunny cool/warm days. We prefer the fresh air of eating al fresco. Unfortunately they only have space for a limited number of tables. Front lounge was always a hit with sail always. Coffee Connection was always a busy place. In the mornings they could use another area for coffee and quick bites.

Pros: The staff is extremely accommodating - the suite and ship was kept immaculate - the butler was amazing - the itinerary was perfect with just enough sea days
Cons: Ship internet is very slow and disconnects continually - got an intestinal bug from a dinner we ate in the desert

Overall an truly unforgetable cruise - Regent still has it down as it relates to customer service, cleanliness, tours, food, and staff. I cannot say enough about the staff - they were absolutely amazing. They always a smile on their face and willing to go the extra mile. The tours were organized and the cruise director was a talented and entertaining man. The ship captain was readily accessible and very congenial. The ship doctor (had to visit due to a bug I caught eating food in the desert) was very kind and spent a lot of time with me. Fellow passengers (mostly British) were for the most part very happy as well (there are always a few that are complain about nothing)....the dress code on the ship is perfect - no mandatory formal nights.

Pros: The service is outstanding in all venues, from housekeeping, to dining, to sommelier, to Ships Officers. Captain John Mc Neil makes everyone feel special.
Cons: The menus in the Compass Rose tend to repeat themselves frequently. The Signature Venue's menu is static. Their sauces overpower the food in many cases. Some of the common areas are showing wear and need to be re-freshed. IT issues should be addressed, since most guests want to keep in touch.
