Pros: Not having to pack and repack to move city to city. Food was great! Entertainment was good.

Cons: Shore excursions were rushed. Maps were not given out to better navigate how to get to places on the ship.

Pros: Smaller size with all the amenities, very attentive staff, plenty of variety with activities and entertainment.

Cons: The app had some glitches with making dining reservations, but that wasn't specific to the ship.

I'm an elite passenger with Princess and have been on all the ships. The Diamond Princess stands out to me because it offers the same as the larger ships, but has a more intimate feel. I never had long lines when exiting the ship or going on a tour, or even at the Guest Services desk. Since it covers Japan and other Asian countries, I enjoyed the sharing of cultures onboard, with options for Japanese speakers as well as a variety of activity options geared toward experiencing the Japanese culture.

This is our 2nd time on Princess. Our last trip we did not enjoy much about the ship. The crew had not been friendly the food was not great. This time we were very happy with the crew's friendliness and the food was much better.

Pros: The Diamond Princess is a beautiful ship. Our room steward was great always on top of anything we needed. Thank You Calvin!!!!!!

Cons: The staff getting us to our excursion were disorganized. Many other passangers complain about the same things. There wasn't enough buses picking us up from the stops back to ship, because we had waited so long they didn't even charge us. The Tenders they used only had 3 at one time and they took forever to get us back to ship. This was the first ship that this has happened to us.

I would have liked to attend most of the activities, but they started close together. Some of the dining area in between serving took to long. In between serving it took 15 minutes.

Some shore excursions were not very interesting & we're not very detailed. A few were quite expensive for what you get. Those touting 'local dishes' on the ones that included lunch were always not. In Hong Kong wished they had a shuttle bus to Hong Kong Disneyland. Would have gladly paid for the bus. Many ppl on our cruise wanted to go to HK Disneyland.

Pros: Great service, good food, well organized excursions

Cons: Cruise director's staff were primarily Japanese and spoke limited English when the guests were primarily English speaking.

Unfortunately due to weather conditions, we missed 3 ports. Rest of the trip was terrific.

Asian countries immigration processing and getting off the ship and onto excursions was sometimes slow, but Princess staff handled it very smoothly.
