Overall Great but there are some things they should be better at
July
Pros: The staff, entertainment and activities on board were wonderful.
Cons: Their management of the excursions was not good. It stunned us that they were so bad at this given that that's such a large part of what they do.
Recommended: Yes
For the most part, the Silhouette, even thought it's a big ship (at least to me) was great. The entertainment was varied and really good. They had lots of activities all day and all night. The thing they failed at, miserably, was excursion management. When they had people meet on the pier, it was chaos getting bus numbers because they refused to give them out as people arrived. At Edinburgh, one of the tender ports, there was a wait of over an hour to get a tender back to the ship after returning from a ship purchased excursion.

Celebrity Silhouette
March
Pros: Ship, staff, food, and itinerary are always consistently superior to other cruise lines.
Cons: We do not usually partake in the entertainment offered so we have no comments on that.
Recommended: Yes
Celebrity is our “go to” cruise line. We have never been disappointed and continue to book with them every year. We have sailed to four continents with them. Asia, Australia, and Antarctica are left to conquer!

Have Realistic Expectations
February
Pros: Newly remodeled rooms, comfortable beds, smaller size ship, attentive room stewards.
Cons: No Retreat pool, with the exception of Murano and the Chef’s table most food was just ok.
Recommended: No
Have realistic expectations prior to embarking on the Silhouette. With no shade on the Retreat Sundeck and no dedicated pool, the area is virtually useless. You’ll spend most of your time in the Solarium…along with everyone else. Getting a drink by the pool takes a long time. The staff is stressed from recent company policy changes and it shows. Many times hot food wasn’t served hot and the Oceanview Cafe became a mass of steam table planned-overs from the night before. Make no mistake…this is NOT an Edge-Class ship. I would never pay Retreat prices again to sail on this class of ship. It simply isn’t worth the money.

Super cruise to France and Spain. Plenty to do to keep busy. Fully met and even exceeded expectations in the bar and main dining room. Always amazed that the servers at the bar know you after two visits! Everyone is well trained and friendly.

February
Pros: Clean, excellent staff,
Cons:

I had a very positive and fantastic experience on the Celebrity Silhouette. The ship was clean, well maintained and the staff was excellent. The food was great and we felt very well taken care of. When considering a future cruise, I would not hesitate to consider this ship again.

Another great cruise
January
Pros: The friendliness of the staff and guests. We loved the Blu restaurant.
Cons: The city tours that we took showed too much poverty.
Recommended: Yes
We love Celebrity! Even though I didn't give the entertainment top stars I truly understand why they were not high end. I would rather have money in my pocket than spending a lot of money on entertainment. We did not take advantage of the activities since they didn't interest us as much as sitting on the deck relaxing.
