Pros: Getting away and enjoying the services of Celebrities Cruiseline
Cons: To short a trip

Trip staff room all were perfect , didn’t like the fact that ever drink seemed to be on the upgraded drink package so had to purchase upgrade while on ship which cost more then if purchased prior to the trip, which I don’t understand the increase cost of the same upgrade Felt nickel and dime with that if you buy a drink package include all drinks

Reflection 6 day Caribbean
February
Pros: perfect size, outstanding dining and staff, plentiful specialty options
Cons: no retreat sundeck
Recommended: Yes
The Reflection is not new, but it is beautifully maintained, and our Celebrity Suite was as nice as any we've experienced. The staff was outstanding, and the service and food in Luminae were excellent. The old style Michael's Club stands in place of the Retreat Lounge, and it is warm and inviting. The bartending and host teams in Michael's Club were 10:10.

Not satisfied as the previous Celebrity cruises
February
Pros: always clean room and ship, great employees, especially the housekeepers who would clean our room and went beyond to please me and my husband, twice a day..
Cons: Not many attractions at night, dinner menu was almost the same every night, credit a board was not given to my husband as previously aboard the Edge in 2020, first time in Aruba and we got lost outside the ship, therefore we lost our shore excursion and after paid for a taxi to come back to the ship and explain what happened, was denied a refund, that for me isn't much for your company, around $ 160.00. Had beverage basic package that included Pina Colada and Mudslide drinks, some waiters started charging me on the last days and I didn't see this happen aboard the Edge in 2020.
Recommended: Yes
I'm part of the Basket Weaving Group and got to go on my first cruise in 2018 aboard Silhouette that was an amazing experience even if we didn't stop on the Antiqua Island (due high waves...?). In 2020, we went aboard on the new Edge, that was completely different, better in several ways, but not so very satisfied with the dinner menu again. All employees and crew were amazing and so our big veranda, what I can't say about the one at the Reflection: some of the furniture were worn out and on my first shower, the water almost flooded the bathroom. So, i had to report and one of our housekeeps (KUDOS TO HIM!) found out that the drain was full of hair from previous guests, I believe. Not only I don't know what happened to my husband credit, but very disappointed for not receiving the reimbursement from a shore trip we didn't make for getting lost with a 3 ships crowd outside and dozens of souvenirs stores.

A bit dissapointing
November
Pros: Overall service
Cons: Dining room service and food
Recommended: Yes
I looked forward to being on the Reflection again after two consecutive cruises on the Edge. I have always liked the main dining room experience over the years. However on this cruise, I was a bit dissapointed. Waiter/Asst. Waiter service was okay. They took our order and delivered our food. No extra friendly banter; just doing their job. Sommelier had 33 tables to serve so never got to know my wife's and my taste for wines. Didn't have the time to recommend anything off the wine list because if we did order one, she would have to make a special trip to the wine storage area and that would cut into her time servicing other tables. On several occasions, our wine order wasn't taken until after the appetizer was served. I don't think it was her fault, Opus dining room seemed to be understaffed. Food quality and portions seemed to have decreases since my last cruise on the Edge (4/23). While I'm not an epicurean, at my age (79) I still appreciate the taste of well prepared food. The food in Opus did not meet my expectation on this cruise. Food was good; not great. Murano still a great dining experience. Penny-pinching was evident as well. I generally have a can of Coca-cola at lunch - if I eat lunch. Noticed the can was 333 ml or 11.2 ounces. The "standard" soda can size is 12 oz. That said, one is still charged $4.00/can even though you're getting a smaller amount of fluid. Only went to one "main" show so can't really comment on the entertainment. Because the ship just returned from a trans-Atlantic crossing, the US Coast Guard had to inspect it. This added significant time to the embarkation process.

Pros: Great staff service, food, excursions
Cons: Wifi barely worked, had to pay for travel from port to airport, not enough outlets in state room

Wifi working was non-existent even though we paid for package. Celebrity is suppose to be an upscale cruise company. With what we paid, transportation should be provided to airport. No outlets near the bed for charging phone. Decor was outdated.

Great 1st time experience
August
Pros: Ship’s staff, cleanliness, comfortable beds, good cabin layout, quiet rooms, excellent spa services, specialty dining was excellent
Cons: Mediocre food in main dining room, expensive shore excursions were inconsistent in living up to their descriptions in the Celebrity app, always trying to upsell.
Recommended: Yes
We enjoyed an excellent sailing experience on the Reflection. The seas were smooth and the Ship’s staff was wonderful - always ready to help with a smile! The size of the ship seemed manageable. The food in the specialty restaurants was very good - much better than the dining room. We booked as Aqua class but I think in hindsight, I’d have simply saved the $$ and booked as a veranda stateroom. (They give you the ability to “bid” to upgrade your cabin shortly before sailing if you’d like.) I think we’d be comfortable booking our own excursions directly with local tour operators next time. Spa services were just wonderful - highly recommend massages, facials, etc., but be prepared for the “product sell” at the end of the appointment. We did so much during the day that we were too tired for the shows, but I can say the live music throughout the ship’s bars and public spaces was really great!

Celebrity Reflection March 2022
March
Pros: Food - Service - Value
Cons: Port Changes
Recommended: Yes
Coming out of Covid has some positives & negatives. Big positive is that this sailing was 1/3 full which meant no lines...easy boarding and leaving the ship. Negative was after booking with 4 destination ports went down to just 2 (Jamaica and Cozumel). Both ports have tight security and without a cruise ship excursion you are relegated to the market/vendor area next to ship. Food was diverse and excellent quality. Premium drink package was a bargain.

Great Ports of Call and Excellent Venue for Adults
September
Pros: Ports of Call: Sufficient Time in Most of the Ports; Good Food; Excellent On-Board Entertainment
Cons: Time in LeHavre (Paris) was too short to visit Paris.
Recommended: Yes
The passengers on this ship were mostly senior adults and the staff/entertainment/activities/food were well-suited for that age group. The staff was very friendly (in most cases) and the ship was in great shape. The on-boarding and off-boarding experiences were among the best I've ever had! The 12 day cruise from Amsterdam to Barcelona around the Iberian Peninsula was great. Some very interesting and less-frequently visited spots.

Summer in the Baltics
August
Pros: The Ports, the food, the crew
Cons: Entertainment, Bar and Al Baccio service
Recommended: Yes
I highly recommend this cruise as the destinations were wonderful. Starting in Amsterdam, each city and country visited presented great experiences. Some of the entertainment on board was good, but some was not. Disappointed in how long it took to get service in the Ensemble Lounge and Al Baccio Coffee Bar. The ship was clean, all crew members were friendly and overall the service provided was very good. There were only a few activities that interested us on sea days. Previous cruises included more cooking demos for example. As always, Blu was worth the upgrade to Aquaclass.

June
Pros: Food, staff, and entertainment were great.
Cons: None

This ship and cruise from Dublin to Amsterdam was a fun trip. The excursions we took were wonderful. With the exception of one guide, the guides were knowledgeable and very anxious to impart information. In the case of that one guide, those in charge made amends. We love the Celebrity line of ships and this one met our expectations and went beyond.

Pros: The itinerary was a must see destination. Special countries to visit.
Cons: The ships decor was underwhelming and at times cold but the staff made up for this with their warmth.

There are many under utilized spots on the ship. Ie Sushi Bar, the porch. Mast Grill advertised as open never was. Given the route a public pub like Norwegian has would be welcome. The shows were outstanding. We really enjoyed our trip.

Pros: The entertainers brought on was best we ever had on any cruise
Cons: The menu has not changed in a long time.

Ship is very nice and well kept. We had a standard balcony cabin on deck 7. Biggest complaint about the cabin is there was almost no storage space to put things away especially doing a long cruise. We and several other people, had to put a piece of luggage on the sofa and work from that.

Pros: Suite clas offered so many extra perks
Cons: Luggage claiming area very confusing

The cruise was our second Celebrity Cruise that we elected to book a suite. As a suite class member you have your own private dining room the Lumane where the service and food is incredible. A private Members Only bar the Michael’s Club. Then to top it all off our butler service was more than we expected. Overall, we have done several different cruise lines but I’m certain we will choose Celebrity in the future.

Pros: Some of their specialty restaurants (not all are great), suite amenities, ship design
Cons: Large ship

A great ship for beginning or experienced cruisers. There are options for specialty restaurants (try Murano and Tuscan Grille; skip Lawn Club, Porch and Qsine). Suite dwellers get to add Luminae which is very good; we did not try Opus, the Main Dining Room, on this ship but it was so-so on Solstice (sister ship) in December.

Very Good, but needs to go back to basics
March
Pros: Wonderful staff, updated interiors with great stores for browsing, great food, great balcony chairs.
Cons: Miss the promenade deck, jogging track not the same. Skip the grass and add more deck space with lounge chairs. Uncover the solarium for more sunshine. Solarium deck was extremely slippery and dangerous on day one - should be replaced.
Recommended: Yes
Overall, enjoyed the cruise. However, in its effort to be a modern ship, it has done away with some of the joys of cruising. I especially missed the promenade deck. It is a peaceful and relaxing way to get some exercise, most times of the day and in most weather conditions. It also encourages other walkers to walk in the evenings. The jogging track was almost empty in the evenings, along with the walking area on Deck 5. Not pleasant for walking. The floor in the solarium was extremely slippery on the first night. We were warned, but the area should have been roped off and the floor replaced. It was like a sheet of ice. Also, something is wrong with the balance of the solarium, grassy area, pool and deck chairs. The deck chairs were crowded around with pool area and upper deck, and yet, the large solarium was often hardly used with many empty chairs. I don't remember the ceiling being opened on nice days - something that is done on other cruise liners. The grassy area seems a waste, when there is such a need to spread out the deck chairs.

Winter, 2017 Cruise Review = Celebrity Reflection (February 4, 2017)

Pros: Great food, and creative entertainment. Super atmosphere for adults with well located dance venues.
Cons: Not enough time to do everything.

Easy access to the Port of Miami with the opening of the new tunnel which eliminates having to go through downtown Miami. The only regret with the Reflection is that Celebrity is eliminating the 7-day eastern Caribbean itinerary in favor of longer 10-11 day cruises to other destinations.

Pros: great crew, beautiful ship, food B rating
Cons: ROOMS NOISY, entertainment C rating
Recommended: Yes
Nothing on ship or from Preferred for solo travelers. Do not plan lunch for "widows." The last thing I want to do is eat with only widows. Mix couples in with widows. Shore excursion on St. Kitts big rip off. I paid $119 and got to "touch" a dolphin. Others in my group felt cheated too. Another group of 5 paid $150 and got to swim with dolphins - just three feet away from our group. I went on this trip to swim with dolphins, but I guess I did not read the fine print.

First Time Celebrity Cruiser
November
Pros: Lovely, modern ship. Great food. Wonderful staff. Fantastic entertainment. Superb martini bar and specialty coffee bar.
Cons:
Recommended: Yes
This was our first time sailing with Celebrity. After only 2 days on board, we booked another cruise for next November. There was plenty to do both on the ship and on shore. The food was delicious and there were lots of choices. The Martini Bar was very unique with a frozen counter and talented bartenders. Lots of after hours parties. With so much to do, it was still very relaxing. Loved it!

November
Pros: Cleanliness, Food quality, staff friendliness
Cons: some wait times (not always)
Recommended: Yes
This was our first cruise and based on our opinion and the opinions of at least 10 other people, this is one of the best cruise lines out there. The ship was clean and beautiful, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the rooms were comfortable and the food was very good and plentiful. Because of the number of people, there are times where you may have to wait a few minutes for your drink of food, depending on where you are at the time. Getting on and off the ship was simple in all ports.

Pros: Friendly staff. Spacious cabins. Lots of storage space. Very clean. Room was qiuet
Cons: Choices of places to dine without having to pay a fee. The main dining facility is good but we would have enjoyed being able to go to different places without an additional charge. We did pay two of the days and it was worth the price. The beverage package is a MUST but since you are paying it should automatically be the premium package. We upgraded once we figured that part out.

Eastern Mediterranean Cruise
June
Pros: Food was good, arrival and disembarkment was smooth, and the four perks were excellent
Cons: Generally speaking, the employees did not appear to be friendly unlike other Celebrity cruises we have been on. The exceptions were our stateroom attendant Bryan and our head table waiter Anil who always went out of their way to accommodate us.
Recommended: Yes
We were surprised to experience that many of the speciality accommodations that has always set Celebrity apart from other cruise lines were either missing altogether or had to be requested. We had requested a table of eight but on the first night we were seated at a table for two directly in the pathway of waiters running in and out of the kitchen. After standing in line to speak to the maitre'd, as we approached him, he seemed very perturb and defensive before I could finish my first sentence. This was not a good ending to a day in which we had already dealt with a ship issue in which toilets were over flowing each time it was flushed! Our room was one of the rooms that had this mechanical issue! Maintenance was quick to respond and explain the problem they were experiencing at the time. We were please with their follow up but the fact remains that things were not going all that great for the first day on board. Than, for the maitre'd to have an attitude before we finished our first sentence was unsettling.

The Reflection is a beautiful ship and it's personnel are proud to serve aboard. I enjoyed,as always, the efficiency, friendliness and professionalism of the Celebrity family. The amenities found on deck 15 .... to include the grass lawn are super. I especially had some wonderful help from my concierge Ilaria Terenzoni. ..kudos to her for going above and beyond. I also had an unscheduled interaction with the medical staff and found them to be very helpful and professional .

Pros: Beautiful ship.
Cons: Up Selling. Too much pressure to purchase Beverage packages, spa treatments and specialty restaurants.

Truly regretted missing the port of call in Istanbul. The Cruisesline changed itinerary due to safety concerns. Aqua class was a little disappointing...as was the Persian Garden. Breakfast in Blu was good, however, dinner was not. The steak was really tough and the lobster was mushy. The service was variable. On average, it was good. The swimming pools were smaller than expected AND often very crowded . The entertainment was marginal.

Beautiful ship, fabulous cruise!
March
Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful rooms, delicious food and drinks
Cons: small pools, hard to find a seat unless you get there at the crack of dawn. There is a sign that lounge chairs cannot be "saved" and if someone leaves their items there unattended for more than 30 minutes it would be removed, but we saw many instances of people saving chairs and not coming back for hours on end.
Recommended: Yes
Loved most everything about our cruise. The staff was just the right amount of friendly and the food was sooo good and the options seemed to be endless. The drinks were fabulous and buying the drink package proved to be well worth it. Would definitely cruise on Celebrity again. Just wish the pools were bigger (two small pools and one indoor adult pool). Also wish the staff could enforce the rule of "no saving seats"....saw many instances of people putting their towels, books, etc. on a seat and not coming back for hours on end. Didn't seem fair to others who couldn't find a place to sit. All in all, though, a MOST enjoyable time!!! :))) Very happy!

Celebrity Reflection - 1/31/15 Sailing
February
Pros: Excellent personal service. Quality and variety of food and beverages met our expectations. The Tuscan Grille is a delightful venue as a specialty restaurant for a special occasion. The panoramic view in the evening offered by wall to ceiling windows enhances the ambience. Entertainment is well rounded with a variety of entertainers. If you like to dance, there is a great band singing and playing a vaiety of pop hits from the '70's through today in the Grand Foyer.
Cons: Both St. Thomas and St. Maarten are beautiful ports of call and you have full days on both islands. The first port of call is San Juan, Puerto Rico and provides a limited time frame to visit if you are interested. We docked at 5:00 P.M. and departed at 10:30 P.M.

November
Pros: The staff was top notch and activities and dining were excellent
Cons: we missed our itinerary in Puerto Rico
Recommended: Yes
This was the first cruise we went on. It definitely exceeded my expectations and was top notch all the way. The attention of the staff was unprecedented- we had such memorable service provided to us by Randye and Jubin our waiters who we will all miss very much, as well as, top notch room clearning service from Babelynn. Our waiter Valen who waited on us for our special dining night went above and beyond the call of duty also. I was disappointed that we were unable to do anything in puerto rico since the boat got there 5 hours late but that is not the boat's fault. The food was excellent and the drinks poured constantly - only complaint was the exorbitant internet rates- highway robbery- but that was not enough to deduct a star rating since everything else was great

Beautiful ship - a great crew, very clean and very well maintained. Just a few minor complaints- nothing open for a bite past 1am, room service however was fast and efficient.. the dining room(s) and buffet in my opinion were not appealing, aesthetically speaking ...somewhat cold.. lacking colors or using colors that remind me of a hospital cafeteria. The dining room food and overall specialty restaurants were very good though. Also, were Concierge class and they were not able to meet some minor cabin wants and needs that were told to us. All and all however, it was a great ship and a great staff. Very memorable cruise :)

Pros: Ability to see several countries without packing & unpacking, trip inclusive of food and room accommodations, different activities to choose from for different age groups
Cons: "Extras" such as bottled water & fancy coffee (latte & cappucino) can add up
Recommended: Yes
We decided to take a cruise because we were traveling with two children (ages 9 and 11 yrs old) and wanted to see several countries at a leisurely pace. Every other morning, we woke up a new scenic location. We opted to go with the ship's guided tours because it was our first time in Europe. Shore excursions were well organized and gave us a taste of the different cities. All of the staff - cruise director, entertainment, room attendants, dining room staff and those working behind the scenes - did a great job in ensuring we were comfortable and well taken care on and off the ship. Wow, our Celebrity Reflection cruise experience was luxurious and well worth the price!

My husband I loved the Reflection of the Seas. It is a beautiful ship and the weather was warm in the low 70s which was ideal and the seas were calm throughout the voyage. The captain's navigational skills were fantastic as were all the crew members and our room attendant and meal severs. The ports we visited were all beautiful and clean and the people were very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and we would book a cruise on the Reflection again without hesitation.

From the very first encounter (welcome glass of champagne) Celebrity's attention to detail did not disappoint. Our stateroom attendant was most attentive. She was always there to fulfill all our requests. From our afternoon tea to our canapés, she made sure we had everything we asked for and more. I especially loved the little detail on the folding of the toilet paper. Blu was another highlight of our cruise experience. From the Maitre D to our servers we were truly pampered. The menu selections and food quality were outstanding. The restaurant personal seem to anticipate our needs each and every nite. Blu is now a MUST for every cruise.

Cruise Review 3-29-14 thru 4-5-14
March
Pros: Nice Ship - lots of variety in outdoor seating, etc.
Cons: Small amenities lacking
Recommended: Yes
All staff excellent. Very small details that could use improvement. IE: on deck 14 waiters should arrive at tables with coffee cups and coffee in hand and offer tea and coffee. Present systems not working. Waiters standing around to REFILL YOUR coffee cup and clean up tables. If asked they would go for coffee and then have to get in the SAME line as passengers to get coffee! Also cream, sugar, etc. should be somewhere else AWAY from folks in line trying to get coffee. Cabin closets quite small and over bed units not usable for shorter people. Entertainment - Elton John Tribute guy and Big Mike's group excellent. Other shows, while performers were impressive, music was LOUD and the "high energy thing" was over bearing!! These kinds of things are VERY small objections but would add to the experience if "fixed". Overall though a very good value and enjoyable.

March
Pros: It is a beautiful ship. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The bathrooms were a nice size.
Cons: The rooms were small and not a lot of storage. The closets were small and hard to get into. The food was very bland and often over-cooked. The shows were very loud, however they were very good.
Recommended: Yes
We were disappointed in the Reflection ship. This was our 8th cruise with Celebrity. This ship had smaller cabins and they did not have a lot of the amenties of the older ships. The food was just ok. It was often over-cooked and bland. This is the first time we have been disappointed in the quality of Celebrity. The entertainers were very good, but also very loud. My husband had to leave one performance because it hurt his ears. He is an entertainer so for him to walk out was major.
