A tired old gal

August

Pros: The staff and crew were consistently attentive and friendly. The ship was clean at all times.

Cons: She needs updating and refurbishing.

Recommended: Yes

The Casino, especially, needs a complete overhaul. Outdated machines, non functioning machines but especially it is jammed so that walking from one place to another is almost impossible. On the plus side, the new air purifiers do a great job of clearing the smoke usually found in a casino. I couldn’t detect which side was smoking as I entered, not usually the case.

Fantastic Cruise for Families, but disappointed with food.

July

Pros: Tons of family activities to do. Excellent Service.

Cons: The main dining food was not outstanding. Specialty Dining at Giavonni's Table.

Recommended: Yes

We had a fantastic time on the cruise. Our kids are 6,8, & 18 and there were a ton of activities for everyone! A big hit for our family was the Silent Disco Parties. The main consistent theme to the cruise was that the main dining food wasn't outstanding. It was decent food... but nothing spectacular. We decided to try Giovanni's Table which was a specialty dining option to see if that was any better and it was similar. Nothing outstanding. Good, but not spectacular. The waitstaff however, was amazing! Everywhere we went and ordered something (drinks, food, shops, etc.) the service we experienced was amazing. The after dinner shows were pretty good, and our favorite was the ice show. The one thing we noticed was that there were plenty of seating available and you didn't have to get there early to make sure you had a seat. As for the size of the ship... it's a smaller ship (compared to the newer Icon of the seas) and you definitely noticed it on sea days. The pools / hot tubs were packed!

Group Cruise 2024

June

Pros: Great time spent with family!

Cons: Couldn’t find our luggage in the Key Area at departure. The Key area was not well marked and directions were vague.

Recommended: Yes

The staff of the Adventure of the Seas is so incredibly friendly! I think this cruise was almost sold out but there are so many activities you never felt crowded. I am 70 and took my 10 year old Granddaughter. We had plenty to do together as well as individual activities. To my surprise she loved going to the Adventure Ocean Club on nights we didn’t have specific plans. She also participated in Karaoke for the first time and loved it. She went ice skating every chance she could and we loved the Ice Show. We also enjoyed the Dance show in the Lyric theatre and the many game shows in the Imperial lounge. It was a fantastic vacation and we made great memories.

Great Ship, Great Trip

June

Pros: Good cruise entertainment staff, lots of activities on board, good itinerary

Cons: Embarkation was messy

Recommended: Yes

Adventure was my first ship ever sailed upon so she will always have a special place in my heart. The 8 night cruise me, my family, and my friends (about 50 of us total) just completed was a wonderful vacation once we got past the embarkation area and onto the ship. Enjoyed the food in the dining room and windjammer and the activities organized by the entertainment staff were top notch as well.

Adventure of the Seas Review

June

Pros: Johnny Rockets

Cons: Rock hard beds. Very small balcony rooms. Rusted balconies. Poor quality food in the main dining rooms. Frequent loss of internet that makes the cost not worth it.

Recommended: No

The ship is very old and looks it. I would not recommend sailing on this ship to anyone.

Pleasant sailing experience!

June

Pros: Great Cruise Director, Lots of activities, ship old but maintained nicely!

Cons: The entertainment is stale, lack luster. Need to bring back tribute bands and new production shows.

Recommended: Yes

Guaranteed a classic sailing experience, minimal bells and whistles.Lots of family activities but this old girl could do with a nice dry dock soon. She did seem short staffed though leading to long waits for service no matter the venue. Staff on ship was helpful when approached, and while the new HideAway beach club for adults only was pretty fantastic, how about some grilled food instead of everything fried? The staff on Coco Csy were not kind, actually a bit combative. Maybe tired? Not the nicest people on that Island for sure. Control issues to the 10th power and constantly yelling at people, a bit off putting. But the day was still fun!
