Wonderful trip .

July

Pros: Really great ship & service with amazing ports!

Cons: Internet without expensive voom service was terrible. Also-the deck chair ‘saving’ situation was ridiculous.

Recommended: Yes

We found deck chairs in the same area both days so it really didn’t matter very much to us. However, the second at sea day ,two chairs next to us had towels on them the entire time. No one ever came, and after several hours,we ended up moving over onto those. The onboard internet was worse than we expected , and we had to purchase the expensive Voom service for our 18 year old granddaughter. Breakfast in the buffet was very busy and a couple of times we had a delay finding an empty table. Not too much of a negative.i looked around and saw where there could have been room for a few more small tables. The reviews I read about the ship weren’t often kind, but we experienced great service, good food , nice stateroom, a very well maintained and beautiful ship. I suspect that some of the negative reviews had to be from very picky people. This was our fifth cruise -third on a RC ship. I honestly don’t remember things to compare this ship to, such as layout of the ship, quality of food, etc. We were very satisfied with our trip. It’s amazing to me how efficient they were, considering the huge number of passengers onboard. There were older kids on our floor who didn’t seem to have very much parental supervision and they ran races nightly up and down the halls, played a lot of hide & seek all over the ship. We tolerated it but perhaps older passengers might not have appreciated the rowdiness.

This has been by far my favorite cruise ship. Stateroom Was very comfortable and spacious, appreciated the extra bathroom hooks And so many clothing hangers. January

Pros: Staff great

Cons: only con was one excursion which did not exactly live up to the description. Very disappointed in that one.

Recommended: Yes

We had a Jr. Suite and were able to eat dinner in Coastal Kitchen. Recommend it for everyone. Staff great and food amazing. Unfortunately they do not have Coastal Kitchen on all Royal ships. Cabin steward was excellent. Spent time in Scooner Bar where all employees were wonderful.

Fabulous!

September

Pros: Casino is huge and lots of machines. Everything is new (3 years) and so much to explore! On cruising days, although there are many people by the pools, you can always find a chair. Rooms have 2 closets! Love not sharing??. Windjammer is amazing! So many beautiful displays and choices! We LOVE this ship!

Cons: We didn’t get a chances to see everything ??No CONS here.

Recommended: Yes

Amazed at the upgrades you’ve made to this class ship. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Rooms are upgraded with TWO closets, so I didn’t have to share with hubby. Sliding doors are are easy to open and quiet. Refrigerator is actually a refrigerator not a cooler. And as always the room attendants were friendly and attentive. Two levels of shops was fun. And the food, entertainment, activities, friendliness of the staff was impeccable. I would like to see a designated toiletries section. We forgot some needed items that we didn’t have. The Diamond Club also had a wonderful selection of hors d’oeuvres. This was much appreciated, since I’m a pescatarian and there were many delicious choices to enjoy. Will DEFINITELY be back. Only problem is when our kids see all the pictures they’re going to want to come with us???? . We usually cruise with them every two years anyway so we know they’ll enjoy this ship.

Best Royal Ship so far!

February

Pros: Layout of the ship, Sports bar, Northstar, Two70, Music Hall, lots of trivia, Solarium area along with the Solarium for breakfast and lunch, shuffleboard, Crown and Compass bar, crew members, Showgirls, food

Cons: The elevators

Recommended: Yes

I have been on 5 ships in three different classes and this was my favorite to date. The layout and feel of the ship was great. I loved the Solarium area with pools and hot tubs. The bistro there was great too. Our balcony room was great. All the crew we interacted with were great. Two70 for breakfast and lunch items is a must try.

Nice but not our favorite ship.

February

Pros: Good food, great service, lower cost, clean

Cons: Tight promenade, congested areas, less shops and snack shops

Recommended: Yes

It was a good trip, just not as good as the larger ships. But it was better than the Carnival cruise we went on. There were a lot of kids (which we don’t have) and because it was a smaller ship it felt very tight/close quarters. Also at some points it felt very unorganized but we still had a good time.

Great Ship

March

Pros: Cabins, Cabin Steward We Had, Waiter and Ass't Waiter We Had, MDR and Windjammer Food was Very Good, Ease of getting on and off the ship a breeze.

Cons: Sold out cruise makes finding space in outdoor areas difficult, Many on board attractions sold out quickly when offered

Recommended: Yes

We had a good time. When we couldn't find seating in the outdoor areas we got some cookies and retired to our balcony to read our books. Entertainment was good but not spectacular. Some was available too late for seniors.

Family Gathering

December

Pros: lots of things for kids to do. Music was great. Cabinet was nice

Cons: Pool band bad and loud. Paying to be able to text within the ship. no lotion in bath

Recommended: Yes

A good cruise for young people. Pool desk was very crowded and hectic . Shore excursions from ship were not well organized. Anytime dining really does not start until 7:30, not the advertised time of 6:45. The staff does take compliants serious and try to fix them.

Cruise to Eastern Caribbean

November

Pros: Beautiful well maintained ship. Nice balcony cabin on 12th floor. Great stateroom attendant, great service in dining room. Nicely appointed pool deck. Good buffet. Chops was excellent.

Cons: There was an extra charge for Teppenyaki (after you paid for the specialized dining) Some of the headliner shows were weird - no story line. However, the actors and actresses, dancers, singers were excellent. Our shower smelled of mildew but it was clean.

Recommended: Yes

We had some issues with the thermostat in our room, but our attendant saw to having it fixed for us. Overall this was a very nice cruise. Our main complaint is that the food is very inconsistent in the main dining room. Sometimes it was great, other times, it was poorly cooked or they had poor selections. The only specialty dining experience that was outstanding was Chops. Giovanni's was nothing more than a Bistro/Pizza restaurant. The food was mediocre, but the service was great. Teppenyaki food was ok, but we have had much better, and we resented the fact that they charged extra for the dinner. That fee should have been included in the specialty dining fee we had already paid. Plus, they charged extra for appetizers. Perhaps they should have a different menu for those who do not want the "cook in front of you" experience. Given that Haiti is in such turmoil and is experiencing a great deal of danger within its boarders as of late, perhaps Royal Caribbean should not be sailing there until things calm down. We did not realize this until we returned and we read a NY Times article about the sickness, lack of food/water/gasoline for travel and work, and the gang warfare going on, I was shocked that Royal Caribbean still chose to sail there. We still would travel on Royal Caribbean because the overall cruise experience is great. There generally is lots to do and/or experience.

Best Mediterrenean cruise

August

Pros: beatifull new ship, many activities, great facilities

Cons: crowded sun beds

Recommended: Yes

We sailed in peak summer, ship was full and staff was always kind and made us feel welcomed. Our food and service at MDR was superb Nyoman and Bryan always ready to impress. All the ports of call were beatiful as pictured. Highly recommend the tours in Santorini, Turkey and Naples. Guides were always pleasant and informative. Dinner at Chops always delivers, great food. The shows were excellent. The book is not to be missed, a show for all the family, the acrobatics and special effects were amazing. My favorite group performance the Wild Boys -80's music what an energy. Showgirls also a great show not to be missed. So much entertainment. We loved it
