Been on several NCL cruises, first time on a smaller ship. Overall,, the cruise was what I expected for a 3 day cruise. Entertainment was good, Cagney's was good, no issues with the ships staff. Had a few issues with the food at the Grand Pacific. Pancakes were cold on morning at breakfast. For dinner, I ordered the New York Strip steak...what they served me was not a New York Strip..It looked like a small filet and was so tough that I had to send it back. The second one they gave me was no better. The service at dinner was also very slow, even though the restaurant was not very crowded. Due to rough seas we were unable to tender to their private island. I was told that this happens very often. Hopefully, their pier will be completed this year.

Entrees/proteins were varied and good. Vegetables were often cold, undercooked, overcooked or dry Desserts were similar to what one would find in a high school or nursing home cafeteria - bland, soft, unflavourful. Pound cake every day. Fresh fruit selections were the same every day - apples, oranges, bananas, pineapple and melon. Since we were in the caribbean, I was expecting guava, mango, or other tropical fruits. I once had a blackberry on a dessert in the specialty dining room, but other than that, the berries were in a very sugary sauce. There was lots to eat, and lots of variety, but the quality wasn't great. Don't do the Teppanyaki. It was noisy, and couldn't hear our own host. And the food was incredibly salty. Our whole group complained about the salt levels. We didn't attend many entertainment events. The comedian was excellent the first night. The second night it was like he was trying to kill time to fill the 45 minutes. The broadway show promised old and new songs - the newest being 2017. There are so many awesome musicals out currently and they didn't pick any music from them. The aerialist show was awesome.

Pros: Embankment was quick, staff always very helpful and pleasant.

Cons: Wheelchair disrmbarkment is always confusing, we came down on time as told but didn’t know to sign in so many people before us kept getting taken first.

I have a lot of patience but I didn’t like how customers were fussing at the very nice lady trying to take care of the people.

Hard getting to main dining room. Had to go to Deck 7, then aft, then to 6ps. . Had seen entertainment on other ships. Key West port eliminated and that was the reason we booked this cruise. Food was mediocre, steering passengers toward upcharge specialty restaurants.

We really enjoyed the cruise overall. Some stops had short stats and the time to get off and back to the ship only allowed for a few hours on two of the beautiful islands.

Friendliest staff

I got sick (gastroenteritis) and the clinic was great. Free room service while I recovered. Some guides on the buses were hard to hear or understand. Loved the excursions to game reserves! Loved the specialty restaurants. Comfy bed

I cruise very often and I had heard bad things about crew members not being friendly. The great surprise was that the stories were not true and we found every crew member to be friendly and helpful It was a pleasure to sail on the Jade last week. Wish list: Food could be a theme sometimes. We went to Greece but didn’t have any Greek food on the ship. The cabin was always well taken care of, but I only saw our cabin guy twice.My gratuity was included, but I would have left money if I knew the cabin attendant. We were given instruction to bring photo ID when going ashore, Nobody asked for it.,it was a waste of time, I didn’t know there was a fee to get money exchanged. I would .have done it differently had I known. Poor communication We went to a bar and got excellent drinks. Went back the next day and got poor drinks at the same bar. This happened several times. There was no consistency Disappointing!

This was my second voyage on the Jade and my first in Europe! It was a very pleasant experience both times, but this trip was indeed magical waking up to a different and beautiful port each morning! The personnel on this ship are exceptional-from our cabin stewards to the officers! They truly make the journey memorable! The food was delicious in every venue and the entertainment extraordinary! I highly recommend travel on the Jade!

A pen/pencil and note paper in cabin, Light blanket for afternoon naps, Beverage package should include water, soda & coffee and tea at all stations, Daily 'Freestyle' should include map of upcoming port, A small map of ship to carry, Complimentary post card of ship, Available transportation in upcoming ports. Coffee/Tea in cabin is a nice touch.

North Atlantic Trans-Ocean Cruise

Staff excellent: Well trained, very responsive, very friendly and well groomed. Recent refurbishment of ship great. Public areas bountiful and comfortable. Food kicked up a couple of notches..quite good even in open dining rooms. Cafe redesigned with various food islands making access easy. Food good. NCL continues to lead industry in, "nickel and diming" you. Few activities where you are not being SOLD to, especially due at sea days. Cabin make ups slow (but acceptable) due to NCL reducing cabin attendant staff. NCL claimed they had no bar snacks (like peanuts) to put out...when we could clearly see them behind the bars. Had to complain to Sr. Bar Officer to get them! Drinks good.

Amazing Cruise!

We loved this cruise. It was so fun and very luxurious. We loved the entertainment it was incredible. Also the food and rooms were great. We also enjoyed how friendly the staff is. The only complaint I have is that their billing system is unclear. They offered us free wifi as a perk for booking early but charged us for it because it was for my husband even though we had the same account. The most frustrating part is that they didn't tell us. One last thing it's kind of greedy how they charge each account per person when all charges come from same account.
