I'll definitely be taking another Viking River Cruise!
October
Pros: Fantastic service, beautiful ship, great excursions
Cons: River too high and had to switch ships!
Recommended: Yes
We loved this boat, crew and river cruise! Will definitely take another Viking river cruise. The staff/service is FANTASTIC. We loved the food, endless wine, great daily included excursions! Some nice evening entertainment, even if it was just trivia with the guests we really enjoyed it. Beware of France in October, there was rain! But crowds were reasonable and it wasn't blazing hot. Would have liked warmer weather to hang out on the top deck.

First Time River Barge cruisers
July
Pros: Very Clean ship & State rooms; Crew was extremely attentive and helpful; Food was delicious and creative.
Cons: Age group was about ten/ fifteen yrs.older then us ( we’re late 50’s/early 60’s); kicked off the ship for 9 hrs due to maintenance issues; Early loud speaker announcements..
Recommended: Yes
Overall we enjoyed this cruise and may consider one when we are more age appropriate.

Mostly happy but room for improvement
October
Pros: Housekeeping and dining staff, large wine pours with meals, good breakfast
Cons: Reception desk just ok, no medical personnel on board, lounge too small
Recommended: Yes
Viking chooses to put more cabins rather than offer a small gym and spa as some other river cruise lines do with the space they gain from carrying fewer people. The lounge tends to feel overcrowded and there aren’t enough options of what to do on board. But overall the quality of the cruise is good and the cabins on the upper levels are comfortable. Dining staff is great and the ship is very clean. Breakfast is the best meal. Lunch and dinner quality varies, as does the quality of the excursions.
