Great Experience!

June

Pros: Staff, Entertainment, New Friends I met, Excursions, Comfort

Cons: Some inconsistencies in Dining/service while dining, fitness room was inadequate

Recommended: Yes

This was my first cruise, ever. I travelled alone, but met a terrific group of people the first day and spent most of the cruise with them. We all enjoyed the excursions, meals, we all deeply appreciated the staff and how hard they work to make the experience totally positive for guests. I really enjoyed the history lectures, seeing so many beautiful and interesting sights, my comfortable stateroom, and felt that the coach drivers at all of our stops were exceptional. It was a pleasure and wished it could have been longer!

A Fantastic Cruise

April

Pros: A most accommodating crew. They went above and beyond to make this trip the BEST

Cons: NONE

Recommended: Yes

I highly recommend this cruise. The lectures on Lewis & Clark were extremely informative. Excursions were great. Disappointed the wine trips had to be canceled. Tech Tips, Happy Hour, and nightly entertainment were excellent

Great Food and Service

October

Pros: Food! Wine!

Cons: Older ship and tours were very unprofessionally done.

Recommended: No

Hats off to the chef and servers. The food and wine were really great. There was a sommelier (sp?) that really knew his stuff. We went on a great wine tour to a winery with him. Not so good - the excursions. Evidently they expected the bus drivers to do some narration - and although they drove the bus well, they are definitely not tour guides. The times of the tours, as well as the locations, kept changing. Plus, these were tours that we had to pay extra for! The best excursions were the ones that we went to on our own.

Time to retire this ship

July

Pros: Staff, itinerary, scenery

Cons: Condition of ship, inconsistent quality of food

Recommended: No

We had a great time as we were with long time friends who are delightful travel companions. The ship’s staff was also good and our needs were always met. This cruise is peaceful and relaxed with spectacular scenery and highlights the journey of Lewis & Clark. We had an excellent speaker on the subject. However, built in 1995, this ship is showing its age. The bathrooms are tiny and require a big step up/down ( a danger at night). There is no fitness center or deck to jog on. We found it interesting that the consistency of meals varied from very good to awful and we typically tried every menu item between us as a group. Breakfast was typically good.
