Great Experience

April

Pros: Great service, excursions, crew

Cons: Spa prices

Recommended: Yes

Our cruise to the Keys and Cozumel was fantastic! Our stateroom attendant Philip was so nice and remembered our names and recognized us in the corridors. Our excursion in Cozumel was the ATV and Beach day and Mario and his crew were fabulous... Couldn't have asked for a better guide! Finally, our wait staff at dinner was the same each night and Roderick and Alvin (Erica) were the best!! Thank you to all of you who made it so special!!

Carnival Conquest

February

Pros: Very little wait time, attentive staff, well organized

Cons: Food wasn’t as great as past cruises

Recommended: Yes

From pre-cruise testing in port to debarkation, everything was very well organized. Using the Hub App for everything was nice (menus, activities, photos). It was convenient to have it all at your fingertips. The only drawback was the food wasn’t as great as past cruises. The meats, especially, were sub par. Of course, there were always plenty of options to choose from so it all was fine. The ports were good, the times for the itinerary were a bit off. 8am-1pm at Key West and 12-8pm at Cozumel made it a bit difficult to do traditional excursions. Felt good to be on vacation, though, and everything was very clean and sanitized. Will definitely go on another one!

Not worth the money

November

Pros: Nice staff, good drinks

Cons: Extremely Poor quality of ship, limited food options

Recommended: Yes

We are very unlikely to take another Carnival Cruise. Our air conditioning in the room didn’t work - we asked for someone to check it 3 times and it was never repaired. Also, the shower drain didn’t work and the bathroom flooded every time you took a shower. If that wasn’t bad enough, the bath towels had holes in them and stains. The only food options on the ship that don’t cost any extra money are the buffet and Dining room. After 10 pm the only thing you can order without paying additional money for is pizza - room service only goes until 10pm, and they only serve cold sandwiches during the day. Throughout the week, half of the decks were closed for maintenance, and the mini golf course and basketball course looked like they had been abandoned for years. The excursions and staff were the best part. Staff was very friendly and attentive. For the price we paid, I expected a better experience. Very disappointed.

Sailed the Seas on the Conquest

August

Pros: Not having to do a thing

Cons: Not being able to take a close can of soda to our room, with the bubbles program.

Recommended: Yes

This was our 1st cruise, to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and it was an amazing experience. Jake, the cruise director was phenomenal. The staff was awesome. The entertainment was great. The food was exceptional. The Steakhouse was an incredible dining experience (additional cost/worth every penny). Seafood Shack is not to missed (additional cost/can't pay these prices elswhere). Guy's Burger Joint was worth visiting more than once. One of our excursions were canceled; but we found out in time to make other arrangements, and still enjoy our day. Boarding and re-boarding was effortless. Looking forward to planning our next trip.

Family Cruise

July

Pros: Staff, friendly

Cons: repetitive food, older ship

Recommended: Yes

The Carnival is an older ship, but a nice ship. I did a family vacation and I did enjoy the ship overall. I don't like that there was not much for my 22 month old. I must say the staff in the Monet dining room. Danny and Humberto were absolutely amazing. Deny my room steward was excellent, I enjoyed his towel creations everyday. The food was mediocre to me, after 7 days I was over it. This is my second Carnival cruise and I genuinely have no regrets.Leigh the cruise director is great. I watched that man go from place to place and did outfit changes and didn't break a sweat.
